I googled Love and ended up with 193,000,000 hits! If only it was that easy.

The definition (according to the great God Google) is:

1. A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.

2. A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.

3.
3.1 Sexual passion.
3.2 Sexual intercourse.
3. 3 A love affair.

4. An intense emotional attachment, as for a pet or treasured object.

5. A person who is the object of deep or intense affection or attraction; beloved. Often used as a term of endearment.

6. An expression of one's affection: Send him my love.

7.
7.1 A strong predilection or enthusiasm: a love of language.
7.2 The object of such an enthusiasm: The outdoors is her greatest love.

8. Love Mythology. Eros or Cupid.

9. often Love Christianity. Charity.

10. Sports. A zero score in tennis.

I noticed there is no clear difference between types of love – sibling, parental etc – or soul mate.

Any opinions, thoughts, on love?

(I posted this first on the GB)

Love is our reason for life, a little? :) Soul mate? The other half of our puzzle? Ah, to find. ;)

Love...

I can love a cheeseburger
I can love my dog
I can love coffee in the morning
I can love a good book
I can love warm sheets right out of the dryer

So why does love have to be so complicated when I put the word "you" after it.

is the response that triggers my need to cuddle and yell, complain and kiss, spaz out and do dinner by candlelight. It is the reason for my belief that I do not have to spend an eternity waiting for that ONE person who will accept me exactly as I am.

Amazingly enough, within the past month I have been proven right. :rose:

You are very fortunate and a lovely way of putting it.
