Love triangles???

Anyone have any good ideas for a love triangle story. Would love to here them.

"love" or "lust". I'm much better at the latter.

nothing wrong with classic triangle stories. They are classics for reasons. So try a basic plot, add a few twists as you go.

Classics:

~ the "John Alden" - he is sent to deliver the love message of another guy to the one secretly adores (aka the Cyrano)
~ the wrong sister (or brother). spouse of fiance discovers the merits of the sibling...
~the rescuer - "nice girl" married or betrothed to the "nice guy" falls for the scroundel who saves her
~ the girl/boy next door - worshipping from not so afar, contriving reasons to disrupt the romance?
~ the arranged marriage - she is promised to another, but truly loves the hero...

It's got to be one of the oldest stories (and one of the true classics) in the world. Been around as long as there's been two men and a woman, or two women and a man, or three women...

That said, there could definitely be more and better ideas for love triangles. Seems that 90% of what is written about them involve some sort of cuckold fantasy. Certainly there are more.

The essence of a good love triangle is unrequited love.

If the poster of this thread is still around maybe you could elaborate more on what you would like to see, or write?

I was just curious of what idea's someone had for a love triangle. I had one in my head where a guy loves a girl since middle school through highschool and they end up finally having sex there senior year. However her father is not a good man and they end up breaking up just before collage. The guy wants to protect her but she can't leave her little sister and mother. The guy finds comfort in a girl who has loved him for sometime and they begin a budding relationship. He heads off to collage. When he returns him and his new girlfriend go shopping where he meets girl number one who is pregnet. now he finds himself caught between old feelings and new.

I agree with you, a good bisexual tryst is one of my favorites. The exact gender doesn't even matter. I have an idea I'm contemplating, about a love triangle between a mother, her former lover and the mother's daughter. As a man, though, I'm still contemplating if I can really pull off a story about a lesbian, a straight woman and a girl that isn't yet sure what she is.

the only love triangle i've ever considered writing bordered on incest, a woman is dating the brother and then consoles the sister eventually deepens into kiss and seduction. She manages to juggle the two of them for a while but is eventually caught by brother in the sisters bed, and he joins in
