Love Throughout the Ages - Sands of Time (closed for ChaosDAmore)

Amunet waited by the door anxiously as the guard sent along the message of Amunet's request to speak with the Pharoah. She instantly grew nervous as the guard entered her room and informed her that the Pharoah had agreed to speak with her. She sighed softly at the way the guard told her. He spoke to her like she was a commoner who was requesting some of the Pharoah's precious time. She shook her head some and followed the guard to her father chambers. Amunet reluctantly placed her hand on the door then stepped inside her fathers chambers. She was regretting this now. The stern look on her fathers face told her there was no reasoning with him but she had to try.

"Father, please sit down. I really wish to speak to you.", she grabbed her father's hand then walked him over to the sitting area of his chambers. She took a seat next to him then looked at him with her sad eyes. The old Amunet had returned. When she was in the room with Meti, her eyes had been alive even when the Pharoah sentenced him to death. "Father, look at me. I am so unhappy. Everyday, I wake up hoping to find the one thing that will make me happy but I have never been able to find it. Then Meti came into the palace to work.", she saw the anger in her fathers face rise at the mention of Meti. She placed her hand against her fathers cheek to attempt to remain him calm. "I know that you don't understand but I'm asking you to listen to me. What Meti and I did is not proper in the eyes of God. But God also wishes for every child of Him to be happy. I'm not. Meti make's me happy. There is something about him that takes away my sadness. I remember you telling me that you give anything to see me happy like I use to be. Please father, I'm begging you, don't take away the one thing that makes me happy. But if you still decide to take him away from me, at least let me spend the last few hours of his life with him." Tears were streaming down Amunet's soft cheeks at this point. She only hoped that her father would see that she knew what she was talking about

The Pharaoh glanced down at his daughter, unsure what would possess her to think she could change his mind especially after her petulant display from before, but he eventually followed her and sat with her in his chambers, sighing softly at the true sadness he saw in her eyes. What had that peasant done to her to inspire such devotion? He kept himself away from that train of thought and turned his attention to his daughter, shaking his head softly as she continued to speak. His anger continued to rise, but he tempered it as he saw the honesty in her eyes. Quickly he found himself just thoroughly confused. She really did care for this peasant. What spell did he have over her? The Pharaoh was beginning to soften, his daughter’s kind words hitting a spot in his heart that he did not know he had possessed since his own bride had perished during Amunet’s birth. But her mention of spending the last few hours with him brought his anger rising back full force. “No! I forbid it! You will not see that peasant again!” He yelled, his bronzed skin flushing red. He took a deep breath to try and calm himself, “Please, I’m sorry Amunet, you must understand.. it is our ways, I cannot allow you to fraternize with him… he is to be punished for his arrogance. Please my beloved daughter, just put him out of your mind.” The look in Amunet’s eyes told him that she wouldn’t, and he knew his daughter would never be the same girl again. With a heavy sigh he called for the guardsmen. “My daughter is done, please escort her back to her room.”

Meti groaned as he shifted on the hard floor of the dungeon, the bruises and cuts he’d gotten from the guards rough handling earlier catching up with him now. He wondered if Amunet was safe, hoping she wouldn’t be treated too harshly by her father. Meti knew he was a dead man. He had made peace with it, knowing that if he was unable to have the happiness Amunet could provide him than death was preferable to a meaningless existence filled with sadness. Still he yearned to see Amunet one more time… before the proclamation was made that would cut Meti away from his dark existence..

The moment that the Pharoah dismissed Amunet from his chambers, with Meti's death still on the table, would forever remain in the Pharoah's mind. The look that crossed Amunet's face was a look of pure hatred. Her delicate, pretty features darkened with a deep seeded hate. The words that came from her mouth next would shake the Pharoah to his very core. " Fine, take him away from me. My happiness means nothing to you. If I can't be happy then I'll be damned by the God's if you are going to be. Father, I hope you look back on this day and see the error of your ways", she said to her father in a voice that was not her own. Amunet glared at her father while she was being escorted from the room. Eventually he would not be in her sight anymore. Her fate was sealed.

The guard looked at Amunet in complete shock as he lead her to the room. The guard could not believe that Amunet had just spoken to her father, the Pharoah, that way and lived. Amunet looked at the guard then pulled away from his grasp as he entered the room with him. "Leave me to myself", she commanded the guard. She watched as the guard turned and left the room. She sighed softly then walked over to the window to peer out over the city. Her father had made a big mistake. When Amunet looses Meti, her father will loose Amunet. If Amunet couldn't be happy then she was not going to be the source of her father happiness

The days crawled past for Meti. He prayed constantly, not for his freedom, but merely for a chance to see Amunet again before he was put to death. He did not know what he could say to her, knowing that he would soon have the embrace of death to take the pain away, but knowing she would have to live again in the darkness that had crushed his own life. He wanted to tell her that it would be all right; that she would find happiness somewhere else, but he knew it was a hollow lie. If she were akin to him than she would live the rest of her life in depression, nothing would again bring her happiness. Most of all though, Meti just wanted to touch her again, to feel her lips on his, to chase the darkness away for the moment and the eternity that was her kiss. He sighed as he slumped against the wall, fishing they would just come and finish him off.

The Pharaoh grew increasingly upset as the days went on. Amunet had grown completely cold to him. She avoided him whenever possible, taking her meals in her quarters when she choose to eat at all. The serving staff gossiped of the Pharaoh’s daughter bawling her eyes out till all hours of the night. She was no longer the same girl she had been, no longer her father’s daughter, rather the Pharaoh felt the coldness with which she viewed him. What choice had he though? He could not allow his daughter to shame the dynasty; there was tradition to uphold, and the Gods to please. Still he lamented the sadness and pain that his decision was causing his daughter.

The night before Meti was to be punished for his crimes the Pharaoh came to Amunet’s room, ordering the guards to leave them as he entered. He saw the look of sadness and hate as she looked up and saw him and his heart nearly broke. He walked towards her, looking out the window into the night sky. “You must understand, I can’t spare him… what he has done… it is unforgivable…” He sighed and turned to look at his daughter. “Go to him… I will avert my eyes for tonight. Go be with him my daughter… take what comfort you can.” He sighed and shook his head, the weight of his position now very heavy on his shoulders as he walked out of his daughter’s quarters

Amunet's gaze never left her fathers as he spoke to her, urging her to seek out Meti while he turned a blind eye to her actions. She almost wanted to argue with him about the crimes Meti had committed. Had she not committed a crime as well? They were both involved in the kiss. Both their bodies reacted the same way at the touch from the other. But, this was not the time to anger her father and argue Meti's crime with him. There would be other times for this but for now, she had a trip to the dungeon to make. She watched as her father left the room silently, still in a state of shock from her father's actions. Amunet blinked slightly then came to reality as she grabbed the soft sheet from her bed. It smelled of her and she hoped it would bring Meti some comfort in the cold dungeon.

She rushed out of her room and headed for the dungeon quickly. What if she was too late though? What if the guards had already killed Meti or what if Meti had died from the living conditions of the dungeon? Tears stung her eyes as she ran down the corridor of the palace. All the while, trying to push those thoughts from her mind. She couldn't be too late. Amunet had to see Meti again and she knew he had to see her again. A moment later, Amunet had reached the prisoner holding area and a small smile reached her lips and it almost pained her. She hadn't smiled in days and now she could hardly contain her smile and joy. If Meti listened carefully, he would hear footsteps heading towards his cell. The footsteps weren't heavy like the guards though. They were light on the ground and the foot steps stopped outside his cell door. She unlocked the dungeon door and pushed it open slowly. The look in Meti's eyes as she opened the door was one of fear and hunger. Slowly, Amunet came into view for Meti and his eyes were instantly clear of the fear and hunger. She smiled and walked towards him quickly before falling to her knees besides him and taking him in her arms. She wrapped the sheet around him and kissed the side of his face in silence.

The Pharaoh watched his daughter, could tell she wanted to argue with him more, try to win Meti’s freedom, but the Pharaoh could not bow. Though he knew in his heart of heart that it would break his daughter in two and that she had committed no sin but to love a peasant, the Pharaoh could not allow himself to bend. She had displeased the Gods and the young man was the sacrifice commanded to make things right. The Pharaoh was taking a large chance just by letting Amunet go to the man again, knowing if word got out about their rendezvous the shame would be eternal. He bowed his head and sighed as his daughter dashed out of the room. He had quite a headache coming on. “Summon my masseur…” He said to a nearby guard as he rubbed at his temples

Meti coughed loudly, the cold of the dungeon cell having seeped deep into his core, chilling his bones and making him shiver. He chuckled slightly as a worry flashed through his mind that he may have come down with something. It hardly mattered at this point did it? He was slated to die tomorrow. He sighed as he thought of Amunet again, wondering what she was doing at this exact moment. He prayed, but knew she would never get over his death. It was not ego that made him say this, but rather experience. The sadness could not be denied, and she had been the only thing that could take it away from him, that and death. He sighed as he heard the door to the outer corridor swing open, wondering if the guards had returned to torment him. One in particular, the large one with a face like a pig, had taken a perverse joy out of reminding Meti he was to be killed over the last two days. He heard the sound of soft footsteps approaching his cell and knew it wasn’t one of the guards. He raised an eyebrow curiously as the cell door swung open slowly. His eyes widened as Amunet slipped in, too lost in his surprise to respond to her as she moved across the room, kneeling before him and kissing the side of his face gently. His arms moved of their own accord, wrapping around her and pulling her close as his lips searched for hers, kisses landing on her chin and cheeks before his weakened shaking body relaxed. Then his lips found hers and again he was lost in the bliss that was her kiss, the pain and fear of the morning lost in her eyes as tears he wasn’t even aware of rolled down his face. After what seemed an impossibly long time Meti broke the kiss, looking at her breathlessly. “You… you came to me…” He said, tears still rolling down his face.

Amunet felt the roughness of his lips against the softness of her own and sighed into the kiss. She never thought she would feel the serene happiness that came from Meti's touch again but she was able to bend her father, to make him see how truly unhappy she was. When Meti broke the kiss, her lips instantly went searching for his again but she was stopped by his words and by the tears rolling down those worn cheeks. Amunet could only smile in response to his words as sweet saltiness of her own tears hit her lips. She felt him shiver slightly against and a small sigh came from her mouth. The guards and her father had left him in such a horrible cell with no warmth at all. She pulled the sheet around him tightly before standing quietly. "Meti, I'm going to bring you food and something more warm. Keep that sheet around you........Please." Amunet bent down to him and pressed her lips against his for a brief moment before slipping out of the room. Leaving, Meti in the cold darkness once again.

A few moments later, Amunet returned with a basket full of fresh fruit and a bundle of blankets. It was obvious she wasn't leaving the cell until the morning. She pulled the sheet away from his body quietly then spread it out on the ground and put a blanket on top of the sheet. "Come here Meti. Lay down on this. I got you some food." She smiled and watched as Meti crawled over to the blanket and laid down on it. Amunet laid down next to him with her head resting on his chest then she grabbed the two additional blankets and pulled the blankets over them. She grabbed an apple from the basket and handed it to Meti while she kissed his chest softly. Her hand reached out to his then laced her fingers with his own. "No matter what happens tomorrow, we will forever be together and be one." She kissed his hand then placed it over her heart with a sad smile.

Meti tried to reach out, to stop her from leaving the room as she rose but his body was not up to the task, his muscles too weary to respond. He tried to cry out but his parched throat would allow only a small whimper to escape. He feared she was gone again, that perhaps she was a dream brought on by his fevered mind, begging for one last comfort. And if it had been real she was risking much by sneaking back out again to bring him food. He felt the lingering sensation of her lips, the sweet moisture on his dried mouth became a buoy his mind focused on, praying she would return again.

The moments passed like ages to Meti as he once again sat in the darkness, almost convinced she had not been real, that it was all some fantasy and that the only arms he would feel were from the cold embrace of death. But then the muted torchlight flooded his eyes once more as the door creaked open on rusted hinges, and his heart beat faster as Amunet again entered the cell. He crawled over towards her as she laid the blankets out, the soft material chasing away the cold from the cell. He smiled, feeling a profound sense of joy settle over him as he ravenously consumed the food before him while she peppered his chest with kisses that threatened to ignite a fire deep inside him. Her words brought a sad smile to his lips and he leaned his head down, kissing her cheek gently as his arms encircled her, taking comfort in the feeling of her body pressed against his. “Tomorrow I will willingly face any punishment, for I have committed no crime, and though they may kill me my love shall never fade.” He managed to croak out, before taking a long sip of water from the gourd she had brought. Like an endless desert, never changing. My love for you will forever endure as the sands of time would. But let us not dwell on the morning my desert flower. I only wish to be with you tonight.” Meti stared deep into Amunet’s eyes, pulling her close, his lips on hers as he kissed her deeply, letting his love pour forth.

The world outside the cell faded away to the two lovers that were getting lost in each other. Meti was proclaiming that his love for Amunet would never falter, no matter what came their way or what barriers they had to overcome. For the moment, the obstacle in their way was Meti's pending death. There was no way around the death of Meti and Amunet had come to terms with that. She only wished her father had seen the need between the two them. Perhaps, if he saw what she saw in Meti, then everything would be different. She sighed softly to herself as she nestled against Meti and listened to his beautiful words. She had already attempted to make her father see things from her eyes but she had failed. Thankfully, she had seen the pain and heart ache that his actions were causing her and he allowed Amunet to see Meti. Even if they only got to spend the night together, it was still precious time that they did not want to waste.

A soft sigh of contentment came from Amunet as Meti's lips met her own in a passionate kiss. The feeling that went through her body was electrifying and she was sure Meti felt it as well. With a small adjustment of her position, she was straddling Meti's waist and leaning forward to continue their love-fueled kiss. Her black hair fell across his bronzed shoulders as her hands rested against his cheeks. There was nothing in the world that could ruin their moment or seperate them at this moment. Amunet would deal with the dark sorrow she would feel tomorrow on her own but she would not be in pain for long. She would be joining Meti in the afterlife and they could continue to be together forever. But, she could not trouble herself with tomorrow. All that mattered was here and now. It was Meti.

Meti drank from Amunet's lips like a man dying from thirst drinks of sweet wine. The salty sweetness of them intoxicated him, causing him to lose focus of the world about him. The chill of the dungeon slid away, the knot of fear in his stomach at his fate in the morrow. His sadness, his pain, all gone as his mind body and soul focused on the simple action of the kiss. It was as if a floodgates had opened up inside Meti and all things bad were washed away. His love, his desire remained. A lust so strong for her it bordered on animalistic, his body responding to her skin against his in ways man has always responded to a woman's touch. But his soul knew this was more than simple instinct, more than a simple response, it mediated the bodies needs, letting it know that what Meti held in his arms was divine, his lips touched the very essence of the gods themselves and that he should tread gently lest he lose their blessings.

With a small moan of pleasure Amunet shifted to straddle his waist, returning his kiss with equal passion born only of true love and true adversity. Both knew Meti was doomed in the morning, but at this moment neither would let the sadness in again. Her hair on his shoulders set his skin ablaze with heat and another small groan escaped his lips as his hands, wrapped around her waist fumbled with her robe, clumsily opening it without breaking the kiss, his hands sliding inside to rest on her impossibly soft bare skin of her hips, goosebumps rushing up his body as he did. She was so beautiful he thought as his lips trailed down her mouth and over to her neck, kissing softly, his manhood thickening beneath the trousers he wore as his hands explored her hips and lower back, forcing himself to be slow. He would die in the morning, but morning was still many hours away.

As Amunet's lips pressed against Meti's lips to continue their overwhelmingly passionate kiss, she could feel her robe being pushed back slightly. The soft silk of the robe brushing against her skin followed by Meti's rough hands set her skin and body ablaze. She could feel Meti kneading the flesh of her hips with lust and desire but he was taking his time with her. The two of them would be seperate in merely a few hours and they both knew it. One would remain in the world of the living and the other would make the trip to the world beyond the grave. Not all was lost in death though. Amunet would awake in the morning in her chambers with Meti having filled her dreams, her first waking thoughts and those before her own untimely demise.

The soft hand that belonged to Amunet traveled down Meti's toned stomach and settled on his thigh. She could feel his body heat through the paper thin trousers that were provided to him by the guards. Her fingertips reached upwards and made the slightest brush against his manhood. The feeling of it made her eyes widen slightly as she moved off him then laid down in between his legs. She gripped the waist band of his trousers gently then pulled them off to expose his naked body. Amunet let her eyes gaze over his body with wonder and lust. Meti was built like a God.

The softness of her lips pressed against the hard muscles of his thighs as she breathed in the smell of his skin. Her hands explored Meti's chest and stomach as her lips explored his hips and thighs. Those big brown eyes stared up into Meti's as she moved her lips to his manhood. Her lips moved up the length of it then back down slowly. Amunet moaned softly as her lips brushed against the tip of his manhood. Her eyes locked onto Meti's as she took more of him into her mouth and her tongue pressed against the head of his manhood. Her small hand wrapped around the base of his manhood and followed her mouth as it moved up and down the length of his manhood.

Meti's need for Amunet blazed as brightly as the midday sun. The taste of her soft skin ignited a fire in him. He knew it would be his only night with the dark eyed beauty and so he tried his best to reign in his need, to make the most of the time they had. Her hot skin threatened to strip his patience away though, as his kisses on her neck grew more frantic, his hands moving down her hips and across the tops of her thighs, his finger tips tracing soft lines over her skin. He swallowed, his throat dry from heavy breathing, and move his lips back up her neck, across her cheek, breathing heavily into her as he nibbled on her earlobe.

Her hands across his thighs caused him to shiver in pleasure, a small moan escaping his lips. It was as if her body were designed just for him. Every movement of her body sent a thrill through his, and every touch took him to new levels of pleasure. Meti had spent so much of his life shrouded in sadness, so many long years in darkness, and yet Amunet erased all of that with the simplest touch. And when her hands brushed his manhood. He gasped loudly, eyes widening in surprise at the electricity that show through his body. He frowned slightly as she pulled herself away from him, not wanting to break the kiss. Instead he leaned back on his elbows, his breathing becoming ragged as she place herself between his legs, removing his trousers and kissing this thighs gently. His member twitched strongly as he looked down at the vision of loveliness kissing his thighs. "Amunet...." he said, locking eyes with her as she looked up at him, seeing all his need and love he felt reflected in her eyes. Somehow they had been born for each other, and he knew deep within his soul that even if he were killed tomorrow, this night would complete his life.

Their deep soulful gaze broke as Amunet's head ducked down, her lips brushing the shaft of his hardened cock. He threw his head back, groaning heavily as his body exploded in ecstasy. As she took him into her mouth he quivered. "Oh by the gods..." was all he could get out before biting his lip hard, nearly drawing blood. His entire body was on fire now as her head bobbed up and down, his throat dry as his hand tangled itself in her hair, his eyes wide with need as she pleasured him. "Ah....Amunet... ahhhh..." He'd never felt anything so amazing in his life.

The sounds of pleasure coming from Meti aroused Amunet to an overwhelming point. It was like nothing she had ever felt before. The only response she could give him was a soft moan as she pulled her mouth off his manhood. Her lips then found his hips and showered them with gentle kisses. The look in his eye was that of a rough lust but it was gentle and inviting. Amunet wanted and needed Meti and she knew he felt the same. She felt that she might die if he didn't touch her and send chills down her spine. Her lips traced a line up to his neck then moved to his ear. In the process of moving up his body, her robe became undone and her breasts had come close to being exposed to Meti. A seductive moan rang into Meti's ear as she started to nibble on his earlobe slowly.

Her hips pressed against his hips tightly as she nibbled on his earlobe. It was almost an instinct to place her most secret area near his manhood. She bit his ear roughly as a shock went up her spine from Meti's hard manhood pushing against her slit. She gripped the blankets tightly then started to kiss him roughly. Amunet's tongue found Meti's and it brushed along his softly. The kiss was frantic, yet controlled. Her desire for him had become a deep lust that needed to be attended too. She grabbed Meti's hand and placed it on her hip as she pulled away from the kiss then ran her fingers through his hair with a hungry passion.

Meti's subconscious lustful, animal side nearly clamped down on the top of her head, wanting to stop her from removing her lips from his now throbbing member. He forced himself to behave though, nothing could be allowed to spoil this, his one eternal moment with Amunet. He was lost in the forever. Time seemed to slow with each touch, every movement of her body, every soft sound of pleasure echoed into eternity. Fire ignited in his body as her lips again found his body, kissing his hips as he leaned back onto his elbows, wanting to have his hands all over her body, but knowing the waiting would add to the pleasure. She was apparently following the same thought path he was as she snaked up his body, her robe falling back more, baring almost the entirety of her heaving breasts to him. His arms came up, touching her skin, causing his fingers to tingle with excitement that spread upwards through his arms.

He let out a very deep moan as her lips came to his neck, kissing his sweaty skin. His hands moved up her body, coming around to give the robe a gentle push, letting it drift off her shoulders further, exposing her upper body to him. Her breasts were perfection made reality. He felt almost wrong touching them with his scarred rough hands, as if he were unworthy. He felt the need in her body though, as she arched her back, pressing them against his hard chest. His hands came up, resting gently, kneading the warm flesh under his finger tips. He groaned as her teeth found his earlobe, her hot breath causing his cock to twitch beneath her. As she shifted her weight, pressing the warmth of her crotch against his thick member he gasped in surprise, his hips lifting involuntarily to rub press himself further against her as her lips engulfed his once more, the fire of passion in his body quickly growing into a supernova of pure lustful need. She moved his hand to her hip and he understood, trailing his fingers over her skin as he wrapped his arm full around her, pulling her forward to grind her excruciatingly slowly against his rock hard manhood, causing him to throw his head back, and let out a growl of pleasure as her hands grasped his hair roughly.

The feeling of the thick manhood rubbing the most secret area of Amunet's body made her light headed. A deep, lustful moan came from her lips as she pressed herself harder against Meti's manhood. Then it happened, the head of his manhood made contact with her clit and the friction almost sent Amunet over the edge. She threw her head back and arched her back as she bit her lip then she shifted her weight around slightly. The head of Meti's manhood made contacted with her opening and Amunet slowly slid herself down on top of him. Her small barrier that protected her virginity was broken by Meti. The pain brought tears to her eyes and she looked to the ground ashamed of her tears.

Her hips moved on his manhood slowly before the pain was more than she could bare. She laid down on top of Meti then rolled over on the blankets with him and smiled up at him. The smile on her face was filled a happiness that she had never felt before. She knew this was perfect and this was her destiny. Her destiny was to find Meti, give herself to him then let him go. The darkness of the morning was not controlling the two of them but it was in the back of their minds. It was impossible not to think about it but it was forced into the shadows. Her arms laced around Meti's neck and she leaned up to kiss his lips softly as he started to thrust in and out of her.

Meti bit his lip hard as he pulled Amunet onto him, thrusting his hips out to meet her. The mere contact of his hardened member with her soft skin threatened to send him spiraling over the edge into pure ecstasy. He opened his eyes wide, staring deep into her eyes, for one moment seeing past the need to the deep seated bond they shared. He saw into the divine connection they shared, the mystical force stretching into the infinite. A single tear rolled down his eye as he beheld the awe inspiring power of their love. Just as quickly he was brought back to the present, right as his manhood, throbbing with need, slowly plunged itself deep inside Amunet, causing him to gasp in surprise at the feeling of the tightness surrounding him. He heard her give a small cry of pain, saw the tears in her eyes. He let his fingers trail under her chin, pushing her head up. "I... will never stop... loving you." He said deeply, bringing his lips to hers, kissing her with the passion of the divine gift they shared.

He rolled with her, ending up above her, looking down at her magnificent body as he continued to slowly make love to her. He wanted this to last until the world around them crumbled into decay, but his body was already tensing with the pleasure she was inciting within him. His hands ran up her sides as her fingers played along the back of his neck. Death in the morning seemed a small price to pay for the pleasures of this night. He was no longer in a dingy jail cell, awaiting his death. He was soaring through the cosmos with the only woman who could take him on such a journey. Each thrust caused him to gasp, his eyes roaming over her body, watching each subtle movement, his fingers tracing lines over her hips, stomach and chest as he worked the both of them into a fervor.

Amunet visibly trembled beneath him as he made love to her so gently. The sensations running throughout her body were like nothing she had ever felt before and she welcomed the sensations. Her hips slowly began to rise in the rhythm of his thrusts and her nails dug into the hard muscles that made up his back. A soft, almost inaudible, moan came from her lips as she began to the epitome of pleasure building up within her. Amunet knew that morning would not come for either of them. Not matter what came tomorrow, they both would live in this moment for eternity. Meti was scheduled to die tomorrow and Amunet would be joining him shortly after. All was not lost in their deaths. The ones closest to them would feel the burning pain of their loved ones leaving them but Meti and Amunet would be forever together. They would bask in the glow from the Heavens and experience the happiness that fate had set for them both.

The feeling of being pushed to that final cliff by Meti had become overwhelming. She sat up slightly and wrapped her arms around his neck tightly then pressed her lips against his roughly. There was an eager passion behind the kiss as she moaned loudly against his lips. Her eyes burned into Meti's as she kissed him with everything she had. A small glisten came off her body as it began to cover in sweat from their passionate love making. Amunet's hand ran down his back and pressed against his lower back as she tried to urge him to move faster. "My love will protect you tomorrow and you won't be alone for long. I promise that the hurt and sadness will never return Meti. It will never plague you again. You can always run into my arms. I will always be here for you." She smiled then kissed him softly as the waves of their love making washed over her causing deep moans to come from her lips.

Meti's body shook with each fervent but gentle stroke deep into Amunet. He let out a soulful moan, a sound summoned from deep within his core, from his center, the purity of the moment unleashing a feeling of deep contentment that radiated throughout his entire being. He gasped loudly as Amunet's fingernails dug into his back, tracing red lines of pleasure down his skin, reminding him that while he was lost in the cosmos exploring the ethereal pleasures of the beyond there was still a world of flesh and blood that required his attention. With a soft smile to his one true soul mate his hands moved down her sides, fingers tracing the skin on the top of her thighs before gripping her legs, pulling her forward more onto him as he continued to let his unbridled passion feed their growing lust. Tomorrow... no tomorrow was not real. There was only the night.

Her lips, touching his. The fire inside him. Growing. Every passionate touch. Bodies entwined. Bodies becoming one, hearts pounding in the rhythm of pure love. Meti's body quivered, muscles shaking with the effort it took to keep from letting the animal within him out. Wanting every moment to be lucid, stamped in his memory for the rest of time. Her hands around his neck, urging him onward caused him to growl slightly, a soft lust filled sound as he began pumping himself into her faster, his hardened manhood filling her as he bucked his hips against her, his arms wrapping around her back, hands roaming up and down her backside.

He gave a loud moan at her whispered words, locking eyes with her, his gaze holding her for a mere moment, a mere moment in the infinite. His lips met hers again, kissing her with a ferocity, moving down her lips, across her jaw, tongue tracing a line down her throat as he continued thrusting himself in and out, his restraint eroding under the wonderful scent of her skin, the electricity
of their lovemaking and the sound of her voice, silk caressing his ears. "I know we'll be together... No matter what." Meti said, his head tilting up, eyes closed tight as he let out a deep groan his release coming, like a slow flood, pure pleasure coursing through every particle of his body, infusing his body and soul in a perfect union. For a one incredible moment he saw the beauty of existence all around him as his body experienced sensations like never before. With a heavy breath it ended and Meti sat, Amunet clutched in his arms, panting heavily, a bone deep sense of happiness running throughout him.

A soft moan came from Amunet as Meti's seed filled her and it seemed that the heavens were smiling down upon them for that split second. She smiled gently as she clung to Meti with a sheer desperation. The sun would be rising soon and they would be separated but that did not matter now. They shared something that no one could strip away from them. The love they shared would survive all trials and would last into the twilight. Amunet knew her mortal life would end shortly after Meti's but she would rejoice as the light faded from her soul. After crossing from the mortal world to the heavens, she would be in the arms of the only being that could truly make her happy. Only Meti could put her at ease and she was destined to spend eternity with him. The two would dance under the moon and make love under the stars until they chased the sadness away.

Time moved slowly as if the Gods were extending time just for them. Amunet was fighting sleep as she laid in Meti's arm, feeling the most content she had ever felt. She glanced up and notice the sky had begun to turn a soft pink to announce the breaking of the day. A small frown crossed her lips as she stared at Meti, "I don't want to leave your side but I must......." She stood and dressed then knelt down next to Meti with a sad expression painted on her face. Amunet bent down and pressed her lips against his softly then broke the kiss after a few tears landed on his cheeks. She took his hand and squeezed it softly before heading to the cell door. With a glance over her should, she disappeared into the dungeon hallway and her footsteps could be heard dashing away from the dungeon. Amunet went straight to her room and sat on her bed as she waited for her father to announce his execution.

They laid together in the cold dark dungeon, clinging to the lasting effects of their love making, the dank environment lost far behind them as they gazed into each other's eyes, soaked in the feeling of their bodies. Meti briefly considered having her once more, to try and recapture the perfection of that one moment, but he knew that would be greedy and impossible. For that one instance their soul had become one, weaved together in a way that neither of them could comprehend even if they had had the rest of their lives to consider it. Meti only knew that he had touched pure beauty, had seen something much bigger than him for a moment. He did not understand the bond their love would share, it went beyond their physical bodies. No flesh and blood could contain what they shared. Though Meti did regret his fate in the morning, he no longer feared it.

The night's darkness was chased away by the growing light of the dawn. Meti watched, sadness in his eyes as Amunet rose to leave, sharing one last passionate, needful kiss with her as she left. Meti sat on the blanket she had brought, legs crossed staring at the wall, allowing himself to once again be removed from the squalid conditions he was surrounded. When the guards came for him they were confused by the serene look on his face. He followed them with no protest, his eyes focused straight ahead. The guards tried to prod him, tried to get a reaction out of him, but Meti didn't open his mouth, a small pleased smile lifting the corner of his mouth.

They led him to the temple, Meti's execution being given as a sacrifice to the gods he supposedly offended by reaching above his station. He knew the Pharaoh and high priests were wrong. The gods had gifted Meti with Amunet's love, there was no offense. Still Meti did not say anything as they led him down to the sacrificial pit. Meti saw Amunet, her eyes and cheeks stained with tears. He stared into her eyes as they roughly undressed him, leaving him clad in only a loincloth.

"Meti, you stand before us a man who has done the unspeakable." The high priests voice boomed out as the guards shoved him roughly into the pit. Still Meti's eyes stayed locked on Amunet, love flowing out towards her as they sentenced him to his death. "You have angered the gods with your affront. It is their wish that you pay for your sins in flesh. We shall pray for you to find your way to the next life, that the Gods might accept our sacrifice and forgive you." He slammed his staff down once hard on the ground and stones in the pit moved aside, snakes flowing into the small area. Meti did not run, did not make a sound, staring up at Amunet, his mind lost in memories of their lovemaking, not even feeling the first bite on his leg. "Amunet.... I will always be here... I will not leave you.." His words rebounded throughout the silent temple, echoing up to the sky, calling out his love for this woman to the gods themselves.

Then his eyes grew heavy, the venom flowing through his blood, his limbs giving out on him, he fell to his knees. He blinked slightly, smiling again at Amunet as he felt his vision blacking. "I... love.... you..." He said, his last words in this world as he fell away into the blackness, a smile of happiness on his face, silently laughing at the futile effort of those who would keep these souls apart.

Time had passed slowly for Amunet as she sat in her room waiting for her father to announce that it was time for Meti's execution. The river of tears that streamed down her cheeks could have filled the Nile. Her sorrow was not washed away with the tears. Tears typically cleansed the soul and brought forth a new day. These tears were the early signs of impending darkness that threatened the very core of Amunet. For a moment, her thoughts turned to Meti, but those thoughts brought a greater pain to Amunet. So, she slowly pushed Meti and her happiness from her mind. The inescapable sadness overtook Amunet quickly as she awaited the knock that would signal her final meeting with Meti.

Her hands and body shook as her eyes turned to the door when the knock rang through her room. "Amunet, my precious daughter, the time has come. Please, we need to leave", the pharaohs' voice broke the welcomed silence in Amunet's room as he called out of her through the door. Amunet rose from her bed and dressed before leaving her room and stepping into the hallway. Her face was solemn as she looked to the guards that surrounded her. Those dark, bitter eyes never fell on her father or even glanced in his direction. He had lost his daughter and crushed her soul. The only thing that had made Amunet smile and brought joy to her eyes was cruelly ripped away by her father. According to her father, Meti and Amunet had committed an act that had upset the Gods. Her father did not know that their union was blessed by the Gods. If anyone had upset the Gods, it was her fathers harsh reaction to their love.

The carriage that held her father and herself arrived at the execution chamber after a ride that seemed too short. The execution chamber loomed in front of her causing Amunet to face the reality of what was happening. This was truly going to be her last moments with Meti while in the mortal world. Her pleads of their innocence had fallen on deaf ears and her tears of sorrow had been over looked. The one person she thought would always be there for her had turned his back on her happiness.

She followed her father into the viewing room as silent tears streamed down her cheeks. She could not believe this was happening. Amunet thought of herself as a failure. The strength to protect and save the one she loved was not something she possessed and she realized that now. Meti was going to pay for sins that he had not committed and she could not stop it. The movement in the holding area caused her eyes to avert their attention in that direction. Almost instantly, her eyes were locked with Meti's and the sight of a smile on his face brought her a bit of peace. A small smile played at her lips as she gazed down at him lovingly. Meti was being handled horribly by the guards but he kept a smile on his and so did Amunet. His words of love rang through the holding area as he stood there with snakes wrapping around his legs. The first bite of the snakes cause Amunet to gasp and cover her eyes but it was only for a moment. She reached her hand out to Meti as the life faded from his eyes, "I love you too..........", she whispered to him then watched as the guards dragged his body from the chamber.

Moments later, she was being ushered out of the viewing and towards the carriage. Tears flowed freely from her eyes as she climbed into the carriage. She stared at the floor with a blank expression on her face. Her eyes were cold and lifeless. The joy that had been dancing in them was demolished. The pharaoh stared at his broken daughter and felt a pain of guilt stab at his heart. "What have I done", he thought to himself as he watched his daughter sob and slip back into the person she was before Meti had slipped into her life. The pharaoh had made a grave mistake and he realized this now. Unfortunately, it was far too late to turn back now. Meti was dead and it seemed he had taken Amunet with him.

Once they returned to the palace, Amunet headed straight to her room despite the desperate calls from her father. The door to her room was shut and locked behind her before she moved to her dresser. The sadness would not plague Amunet for much longer. She would be with Meti again. Amunet grabbed a small, blue vial from her dresser and laid down on her bed with the vial in her hand. She smiled to herself, "Fear not my love. I finally have the strength to protect you from all that is harmful" A small tear fell from her eye as she drank the vial of poison then closed her eyes to slip into the eternal bliss with Meti forever at her side.

Amunet was given a magnificent funeral. Her body was afforded the highest honor, entombed within the pyramid that would eventually house the Pharaoh when he passed from the mortal coil. Meti's body was burned, a final sacrifice to appease the gods he had supposedly wronged. Yet Meti and Amunet were both at peace. Death having brought them the eternal happiness with all existence they had sought throughout their lives. And as the days passed the Pharaoh fell deeper into depression, having seen the wrong he had down to his daughter and the man who had made her smile. His rule became harsher, the people chaffing as he slipped into a darker and darker state of mind. When the pyramid was finished the workers were all too happy to see him entombed within for eternity, and the assassin's dagger assured he would enjoy his monolithic tribute to himself.

Time passed. Stars whizzing through the sky as ages came and gone, empires rose and crumbled back into dust. Humans warred with each other, their futile war cries and death knells calling out to the various forces of the cosmos. Human loved, their cries of passion and adoring words teasing the ears of the eternal watchers. Far away, high above the petty concerns of men, two stars shined brightly in the infinite sky. Two stars, side by side, locked together for all eternity. If one could look closely enough they would see the pulsating light, each a perfect compliment to each other. And they would see the perfect bond those stars shared, merely awaiting a chance to be reborn on earth.
