1) Blind. Whoever said that, was a fool. If you have to hide things from your love, then you're missing all that love can be. If you do that, then you have something that is incomplete. You'll never know it though, so I guess that's ok. But once you've ever experienced being truly honest, it is impossible to live with anything less.

2) A joke. There is nothing funny about falling for someone. But the joy and laughter that you can share with someone that you love, is incredible.

3) A routine. It isn't average or boring. Yes, you get up everyday, you brush your teeth, you drive to work and you come home and eat dinner. But you do all those things looking forward to the time that you will be with your love. You Plan those next moments when you will fuck your brains out. In between that everyday living, you catch a glimpse of your lover's incredible ass and you think how lucky you are that its yours. Those are the things you do to fill the gaps.

4) About hanging on to tightly. You can't bottle up love. You can't live from moment to moment waiting for your love to return so that you can relish in love. True love is there all the time. Whether you can see or hear your lover, it doesn't matter. It shouldn't matter.

Your interpretation of this is much different than mine. Love is blind means that it is blind to the judgements we make in everyday life. You cannot control who you fall in love with because love is blind to race, religion, sex, etc. The idea that love is blind is an idealistic theory, not a cynical one.

Well, the way I love is different from you as well. But that's what makes me, me and you, you. I'd hate to live in a world where were all alike. That would be a complete bore.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but that sounds like a get the fuck out of my thread, so I will.

And yes, variety is a lovely thing.

I think you missed the point.

She was trying to explain to you that you misunderstood what the phrase "Love is blind" means. She did a very good job of that and do so in a fairly nice manner.

It has nothing to do with "how you love", you just fucked up.

Deal with it.

Love isn't a giant feeling, it isn't a fire that consumes, or a wave which threatens to sweep you out to sea. Love doesn't make you feel insane, love isn't painful.

Any Time, Any Day
You Can Hear The People Say,
But He Wont Mind, Well, I Don't Know
But I Say Love Is Kind

Soldier Boy Kisses Girl
Leaves Behind A Tragic World
But He Wont Mind, He's In Love
And He Says Love Is Fine

Oh -- Yes, Indeed We Know
That People Will Find A Way To Go
No Matter What The Man Said
And Love Is Fine For All We Know
For All We Know, Our Love Will Grow
-- That's What The Man Said
So Won't You Listen To What The Man Said

He Said . . . . .

Oh -- Yes, Indeed We Know
That People Will Find A Way To Go . . .

Oh -- Yes, Indeed We Know
That People Will Find A Way To Go . . .
Etc. Etc.

The Wonder Of It All Baby . . . . .
The Wonder Of It All Baby . . . . .
The Wonder Of It All Baby . . . .

Love is always patient and kind.
It is never jealous.
Love is never boastful or conceited.
It is never rude or selfish.
It does not take offense and is not resentful.

Quotes from 2 guys named Paul (The Saint for you, the Beatle for me )

I think we are all sending signals out to the world, of one sort or another. Shit, there is energy all around us, surrounding us, bathing us. Cell phones, radio waves, television, billboards, mail, email, bulletin boards. We are being bombarded with information continuously. And yet amazingly, we can somehow filter through all this stuff and find what we want, what we need. Maybe some of us are better at the filtering than others. Or maybe some of us are better at sending our signal.

Maybe love is finding that person that can "tune into you" and filter everything else out. That one perosn that can receive your signal louder and clearer than anyone else.

The questions one has to ask one's self is: What kind of signal am I sending out? Are there enough people hearing it or are the right people in a postion to hear it?

Not what love isn't, but what love is

"1If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. 13:2And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 13:3And if I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing. 13:4Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 13:5doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil; 13:6rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth; 13:7beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 13:8Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall be done away; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall be done away. 13:9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; 13:10but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away. 13:11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things. 13:12For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known. 13:13But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love."

1 Corinthians 13: 1-13

Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; And therefore is wing'd Cupid painted blind.

But love is blind, and lovers cannot see The pretty follies that themselves commit.
