Thats an interesting theory but hse was able to survive childbirth the same way Claire was, she arrived already pregnant, the other mothers to be all lost their babies between the second and third trimester.

What occurred to me was how Claire was told she wasn't meant to raise her child, similar to Jacob and the man in black not being raised by there mother. Perhaps Aaron or the Kwon child are destined to takeover Jacob's role, the names in the cave did say Kwon, it wasn't specific which one.

I thought Claire was told she had to raise Aaron herself or else there'd be grave consequences.

That is exactly right. Which could be leading into, when Claire didn't have her baby she went crazy and Smoke monster (locke) came into power. As far as the poster that quoted me. Maybe those two were able to survive because Jacob let them. Not sure, just made this up. But, maybe he didn't need a replacement before Claire had her baby, so he let the mothers pass.

I liked that the first few bits of dialogue in this episode were in Latin.

It was disappointing that they switched to English so quickly.

Presumably, that was supposed to date the events at about 2,000 years prior to the present.

The polar bears were brought tot he island by the DHARMA Initiative, who held them in cages at the Hydra station. Some of them escaped, some were used in experiments at the Orchid station, which resulted in Charlotte Lewis unearthing the polar bear skeleton wearing a leather collar bearing the Hydra logo in the Tunisian desert in 2004.

The Light is a physical manifestation of "life, death, rebirth". Humans are said to covet the Light because a little bit of the very same light is inside every man.

Jacob died because his brother manipulated Ben into killing him, something he was unable to do himself because their "mother" made it so they couldn't kill each other.

Man, the deaths are sure coming fast now. I couldn't believe they killed Widmore like that, I would have expected something a bit more elaborate. Now that Jack has taken over Jacob's role, is Locke allowed to kill him? Can Jack just make up his own game, with his own rules now? I thought it was a bit non dramatic for Jack to accept the job so quickly and who knows whether or not he holds the job for long. I'm not convinced Locke can be killed. I mean, what possible ways could there be, something involving Desmond I suppose.

It's always been about redemption. That made it beautiful.

the last 2 yrs were absoloute crap in that the Arc-specific characters went slapping away from one extreme to the other. How can they be redeemed when slapping silly like that? Complete fuck up in my mind. The arc became insensicle. What exactly is ANYONE. Anyone is nothing. Why do I care any longer? Mistake.

BUT!

Like the death of Ronnie James Dio... the day that Lost goes off the air... is a very shitty day. That's a day that's gonna suck.

I'm gonna miss these people that gave me a moment's better contemplation of what it's all about... what's between the grey.

I was so happy that Jack took the job! I'd like to say "OMG! I KNEW it!" But honestly, I was doubtful for the whole time ever since we heard about the candidates about who was going to be "it" until last night at the fire. Considering who was left and how Sawyer, Kate and Hurley all asked questions and seemed to doubt Jacob, it made it kind of obvious who was going to step up. So, yay for predictions three minutes beforehand! lol
