Lost

In agreement ... that really was quite an amazing episode with some really important revelations about the balance of power on the island.

I laughed when I saw the white rock make another appearance.

And I am going to ignore the CGI posts and will simply believe that Ricardo (I am no longer calling him Mr. Guyliner) has thighs of steel that can grip a horse that way. Ahem.

In agreement with you. I will allow my disbelief to remain suspended.

Well, huh. That kinda blows. Now I wish I hadn't even bumped this thread.

But his acting wasn't CGI'd. He was soooo impressive.

One of the best episodes in a longass time and here I thought it would suck when I read the brief summary from DirecTV.
That was really good.

I think Sayid has been nudged out of my hot guy trifecta (it was the crazy eyes and log sitting last week). Jack and Sawyer, meet .... Ricarrrrrdo.

What was with him just sitting there when Clair went all wild on Kate? I think he has chosen poorly.

Oh, yes. To sit there while crazy Clair tries to take down Kate, that was impossibly difficult because he's always been the one to intervene when people on the island have gone apeshit crazy (a protector). So now he is glassy eyed and vacant, and I don't like this new character development. What were the writers thinking?

That Sayid is at a crossroads in his life. He must choose a different path or remain on the one he has been on since childhood. He has been through a great deal lately. Close to death, being drowned. recently torture, returning to life, killer Dogan and the Interpeter, he has had a busy day or two.
That doesn't look easy.

So they made yet another referrence to the island being hell. The man in black is apparently pure evil, who upon getting off the island, would spread throughout the world. Is Jacob the cork in the bottle using his own analogy to explain it? I was left wondering if Jacob can kill the man in black? Or can he and chooses not to simply because he's aware of how there needs to be a balance. Seems unfair that Smoky can manipulate somebody into killing him but not vice versa. Jacob seems to be a bonified Prison Warden. Now that he's dead, Smoky just have to figure out how to get over the damn wall now.

Personally I didn't take notice of his horseback riding nor do I really care if it was CGI'ed, but his acting was phenominal.

Like there isn't evil in the world in it's present state. Does he represent More Evil then?

Is this place purgatory, too? Judging and balance the good and evil one does in life?

I imagine there is a proper balance in the world, if he were to escape, evil would takeover the world and run rampant.

Hah. Ricarrrrrdo was pretty hot last night. Not a huge fan of facial hair but it surprisingly surpassed his usual metrosexual look.

And Batch, I agree... poor Sayid has been through hell recently. Hopefully he'll snap out of it because it's not been fun watching him become a shell of his former badass self.

Forgot to mention that look Locke gave at the end. The evil dude inside him totally overheard everything going on. So that "look" was priceless.

Ricardo was ... smoking.

I miss the Mr. Bad Ass. He needs to snap out of it!

Evil Locke... who'd have ever thunk it that Locke would be the vessel for evil? An awesome job on the part of Terry Quinn as of late.

I agree. It is a shame, since Locke was the number one Candidate.
Does everyone think the only reason the smoke monster didn't kill Ricarrdo is because he needed at least one person alive to try and kill Jacob? Or, do you think he something even more special in him?

Perhaps because he was in shackles? and thus helpless. Mr. Echo stared down the smoke monster once, too. Didn't Locke do that too?

Perhaps, but the smoke monster/man in black needs somebody else to kill Jacob, so I figured he let him go to try and trick him into doing it. If smoke monster is pure evil, he would not care if he was helpless.

Indeed.

Mr. Bad Ass better return!

Locke was chosen perfectly - those eyes of his reveal both naughty and good. And he knows precisely how to work his eyebrows and his lips.

So you're in Vegas and staying at the hotel with 'Lost' themed rooms/suites...

Which one do you choose?

I was going to say the Sawyer-themed room but I kinda wonder what the Smoke Monster's room is all about, too.

Hmmm.

Locke's been batting for MIB/Smokey's team for a long time. He never had any interaction with the true Jacob on the island. Hearing "Jacob" in that cabin was most likely MIB. He followed the directions of Christian Sheppard, who we now know was Smokey. Even the instructions give to Terry while playing him in the first season on how to react to seeing the smoke monster: "Act like it's the most beautiful thing you have ever seen."

HA. I just want to see the next 7 (7 left?) in order, right now!

7 left? Is that this series? Or to the end end?

I was talking with a friend today and neither of us have seen the whole series...have seen episodes or part of a series here and there as work schedules demand. But were thinking that an opportunity to watch start to finish over a few nights would be good....

anybody know.....?

7 left until the show is over. Season finale. Are you talking about watching all six seasons?
