Lost

Bump. Sawyer and Locke going on a jaunt should be fantastic.

Holy shit, that was intense. I did not think Sawyer would kill him. (Sawyer and Sayid are the best characters on the show, so I'm happy Sayid showed up again. He's the only one who asks questions.)

Really good episode. Yeah. I thought Kate looked fine, just has to keep her damn mouth shut around Jack. He's shifty.

That letter ripping hurt me, too. And yeah, the old bastard had it coming.

Mine too. Sawyer's expression I could feel it.

I felt all excited by the end, intense stuff to come still yet, which is why I still love this show.

I agree. I think this was one of the best episodes since season #1.

Just when I was ready to give up on the series and stop watching anymore, they have to toss in a great show to suck me back into the fold!

There was lots of telegraphing the plot this time, but it was still quite compelling. I can't believe I was actually cheering when Sawyer killed that despicable old coot. He was evil incarnate.

The way they tied these characters' pasts together finally made sense as well.

And any time that Josh Holloway takes his shirt off, it's a fantastic episode - well worth recording and watching over and over.

I liked the first episode but I'm wondering how long a premise like this can last before it turns into another Gilligans Island.

I've been a supporter of the pergatory theory .

But I have an alternative ending. They meet Ginger Grant who says" Thank God you're here, I thought we'd never get off of this island!"

I forgot - how do we know Locke's father is really dead though? We thought the Russian Other was dead after we saw him bleeding from the mouth, nose and ear, yet he reappeared as if nothing happened...

I wondered that, too. Except that Locke is carrying him in a bag, so he'll probably find out pretty soon if he's dead or not.

I am more and more impressed with Sawyer's acting all the time. This season has really brought his character to the forefront and I'm not complaining one bit.

What do Jack and Juliet know that they aren't telling Kate? Kate NEVER should have said anything... damn feelings...

I wish I understood religion better and maybe I would have a better handle on where this is all going, but my best guess is that this is some kind of take on the Apocolypse. My mind keeps going back to when Claire went to the medium and the baby was going to be really special... like a Pearl.

Maybe Juliet told Jack that she's supposed to be spying? I don't know, but yeah, Kate let her emotions take over and screwed up.

I finally had a chance to watch last night. That was a great show. Of course there are now many more questions.

Lochs dad saying "one of the paramedics even smiled at me" makes me think his accident was no accident and Hanso brought him there.

To me it doesn't count that Loch didn't kill his father. It's sort of cheating even though it wasn't his idea. Now that Sawyer is a murderer, it makes his character even more edgy. Sawyer wins Best Actor of the Year award!

I'm not buying the we're in hell storyline, I think the woman who landed on the island is a plant, Saheed will get to the bottom of that, that guy is too smart.

Again, the producers said during season 1 that this is not any type of afterlife deal. And if they were dead, how could Sawyer kill Locke's dad?

You're going to believe what they say? Producers are in it for the money and nothing more. This same group said that everything that happens on the show can be explained rationally. How can you rationally explain a black cloud picking up a human and throwing him around, killing him in the process? Didn't look like a tornado to me. Trying to figure out this show is playing into the hands of the producers.

I agree. I think this is Daddy Locke screwing with Sawyer's head. Remember in the episode where Sawyer killed the shrimp guy, and Christian Shepherd, Jack's dad, said, "We're in hell," too? People have a history of using that line to mess with Sawyer's head.

I adore Josh Holloway too and agree that any episode where he undresses = good episode, at least for a few moments. More than that, though, this was a much better episode than some of the others. Restored a little of my faith in the series (also seeing Sayid, whom I like as well - Naveen Andrews has acting chops.) For my money, Sawyer and Sayid are the best characters in the show, and Locke is highly entertaining as well, so this was a good episode. Michael Emerson (Ben) was in full-on creepy mode too, and that's great fun to watch.

How stupid is Kate, though, to run and tell Jack and Juliet about Naomi? Stupid, stupid, stupid. Kate and Jack are the worst main characters in the series.

Read Variety mag, producers and screenwriters come and go with each passing day in Hollywood. Perhaps originally this was the plan, but this show has gone on so many different tangents, who’s to say if they have a general outline of the plot anymore??

I would think in Hell, anything is possible, especially murder. Also, the guy with the patch came back to life, so trying to make sense out of this show is probably a waste of time, yeah?

These producers depend heavily on their fanbase, though, because this is a non-traditional show. If they went against something they defended time and time again, they'd lose everyone. One of the things that hold people to this show is that it's not easily explained. And who knows? Maybe the rationale will come...

They'll just say that purgatory is a metaphor for redemption to defuse that.

If they do that it will be akin the last shot of St. Elsewhere, where everything we had seen was just the imagination of an autistic child. I am still totally pissed by that series ending.
