We were suppose to go out shopping this evening, I told my SO about the 2 hr finally tonight and suddenly there was a change of plans :D

At least they got walt off the show for an episode or two.

My prediction, next season the pirates come back to pilfer and plunder the castaways, one of them gets caught, the 'other' castaways offer him freedom for a boat, he says hell no, micheal strikes a trade with him to get back walt, he agrees. . . everybody gest mad at micheal. Except Locke, he'll see it as a primonition or something thus making micheal a willing adventurer when they go down the hole looking for the ever elusive salvation. The pirate episode will of course happen around national pirate day, which has been around or is on September 19, I believe.

Do you think the pirates that took walt are the same ones who stole alex 16 years ago? Are the ground explosions due to natural gas formations or is there a tunneling machine down there that keeps goings in loops because you can never leave the island? Or maybe there are extensive tunnels under the island collapsing from age and neglect? Remember, they found mining equipment on the black rock. Do you think there are escaped slaves down there trying to tunnel to freedom?

I was Soooo hoping she'd name the baby Damien. That woulda been the best. But Arron or Erin? WTF. It doesn't even have a maniacal meaning or anything. Do you think he'll grow at an excelerated rate like they do to small children on soap operas? After all this is just a prime time soap opera. Kinda like Dallas and Knots landing from the 80's.

Hopefully, next season they'll make some episodes that stand alone. If not that'll be the shows demise. Show's that neccessitate you see every episode to know what's going on eventually lose their draw to new viewers, their ratings drop from lack of viewers, they get canned.

And my one last rambling thought. Did anybody else notice the science/religious juxtapose and our current creation/ evolution situation. I found it interesting that the science faction was threatened by the religious, while Locke was just accepting of the fact that they wouldn't agree on everything. Who's sending the right message? But that's for another post.

I have bad reception, so I couldn't tell. Did the ladder in the shaft only go down a few feet and then was smashed?

Didn't the pirate's boat look way too small to be an ocean-going vessel?

BTW The closed-captioning said Turniphead's name was Aaron.

I have steadfastly avoided spoiler sites until now. Now I'm going to check out all the dish. One thing I found is that the comic book with the polar bear is actually a Green Lantern comic guest starrring the Flash. It has a character named Purgatory, who has no legs and is in a wheelchair. Green Lantern gives him some power and he is able to create legs through his will power alone. When he loses his concentration, the legs vanish. Then Purgatory makes a deal with the devil for new legs. Hmmmmmm

I agree... I'm thinking at least 5 lbs a week he should have lost by now?? Heck they should ALL be looking a lot thinner??

I'm thinking it's a invisible Dinosure.... what say yall? Obviously genetically engineered....

I dont have a clue whats going on there. This is almost like a movie that is chopped up into hourly shows. When the mystery is solved, then what?

The shaft looks really, really deep. Ladder looked intact. I bet Alex is the one who kept in shadows on the boat while they took the Walt.

I think that Locke saw the monster (he has confronted it 2x now) for what it is. I believe it's a mechanical kinda thing, sounded like it. Doesn't explain the black wispies though.

no the ladder looked like it stopped half way, I was also thinking that!
 
The ladder was definitely smashed as it got deeper until there weren't any rungs before the fade out. I'm not terribly claustrophobic, but I'll be damned if you could get me in a hole that small.

I'd say the monster is mechanical but what is it that'd grab locke about the legs and drag him into the ground.

I'm still clicking links and typing in numbers and every once in a while something happens. I just got the fright of my life and jammed my knee on the underside of my table :D

Would someone bookmark it, please? And bring it back in November when they give us new episodes?

Actually, I think Kate has lost a couple of pounds. Looking at the re-runs of the 2nd or 3rd show, she looked a little chubby then. Now, she's a lean and mean man-eater. And her makeup is impeccable! Not a smear after all those weeks! :rolleyes:

ya know??? Come to think of it? I don't see many hair arm pit chicks on Survivor either? I can see how the Lost crew would have access to shaving cream and razors but I know them Survivors don't??

On the first season of Survivor, all the women got seriously hairy. Ever since, they have all been groomed. That's why I know that only the first season was legit. They also all got seriously thin the first season.
Now it's just a game show on an island.

Okay, did I fall asleep for a week or did they skip an episode? Because I'm positive last week was where Sayid found the French woman (Delenn, no less, lol), and then this week Claire had been abducted?! :confused: :confused: :confused:

God I hope they show this in the UK regularly, 'cause I don't want to miss the next season while I'm away!
