It's actually the second Polar Bear. They killed one back in episode 2 or 3.Grizzman said:Why is it a grizzly mix? I just figured it was a polar bear that was ship wrecked with the rest of the french circus 16 years ago.
I think it was real. But I don't get to see every episode, so maybe not.guyinbsmt said:Was the bear even real. Was it what the boy feared the most (re the comic book) and his fears were projected to others around him? But that would'nt explain the earlier polar bear.....I dunno

I have to wonder. I'm sure the writers have a master plan, but did they plan for one season? Two? Seven? The network was solidly behind the show, but you can never count on having a hit.guyinbsmt said:it just seems that they are throwing all these hints around about some kind of mind power.
I wonder how many more episodes before we are able figure this out
I was shocked that they have a show with fat, old and Asian people on it.guyinbsmt said:I hope they have a master plan, it would really suck if suddenly the show tanked. I'm enjoying so far.
Was anyone else surprised that ABC would have a new show that is actually watchable?

Wrong Element said:There was another hint about Walt and mind power. Remember the episode where he was winning at backgammon and he said that someone (his dad?) had told him he was the luckiest person he'd ever seen?
I'm still not sure how this would lead to a polar bear threatening Walt, though, since that's not something one would wish for. This is leaving aside the whole issue of what a polar bear is even doing there in the first place.

Yes, this is the 2nd Polar Bear. The first one was in episode 2, and for those who don't remember...Walt happened to be looking at the Polar Bear in the comic book in that episode as well. The Mutt said:It's actually the second Polar Bear. They killed one back in episode 2 or 3.
Walt's looking at a comic book. The page he's looking at features a picture of a polar bear, which is a nice gag thrown in by the director. Or, of course, if could mean that WALT IS A PSYCHIC MIRACLE CHILD WHO CAN CREATE ANIMALS OUT OF THIN AIR BY THINKING ABOUT THEM AND HE THOUGHT OF THE POLAR BEAR AND A POLAR BEAR APPEARED AND THE ISLAND IS ACTUALLY A HOME FOR PSYCHIC CHILDREN, LIKE HOGWARTS, EXCEPT FOR WITH PSYCHICS!!!!!!
You're right, it was Hurley.Grizzman said:I thought walt was playing hurley at bacgammon
Nothing I can think of. It's been a while since I read it and I'm not going to try and dig it out. (My comics are not in order. I'm only so much of a fanboy.)nova4u said:Mutt - Anything else in that comic book that would give us some clues for the show? Or are they just using that one because of the pic of the bear?

Lawler said:What in the bloody hell was the purpose of making a big deal about the "next half of the season premiere" if they were just going to follow with reruns?
US television seasons desperately need to be shortened. Studios can't afford production costs for that long anyway.
