Lost

She really served no functional purpose, besides providing ridicule and tanning. Her pre-crash character makes her even more shallow. But that final scene of Boone holding her .... shit.

blah, I was so hopeful to!

maybe they're step brother and sister. Or not.

You know, I can't help but wonder if they've already got the entire life of the show written out, with everything already plotted and wrapped up nicely in a definite conclusion that makes sense (as much sense as the show will permit), or if they're just making the shit up as they go along with the notion of milking it as long as possible and then, when they know everything has been exhausted or the ratings slip and they know they won't be getting picked up for another season, they'll just pull something out of their collective ass and leave all sorts of loose ends with some ridiculous hackneyed ending...like it was all a dream or some Lord of the Flies rip-off.

I don't know. I just have this sinking feeling that it's just not going to live up to its potential.

They are. This was explained early in the episode ... right before Sawyer got his ass hauled in.

allrighty, so they're not blood related?

My son was all grossed out when he saw them smooching. *lol*

What kind of fucked up party drug did Locke wipe across that head wound on Boone to make him believe he tagged his sister, was the hero & then saw her shredded?

wondered if it wasn't that heroin that he got off of Charlie.

Charlie tossed that in the fire.

I'm still muy disturbedo over how nonchalant they're all accepting Claire's disappearance.

Okay, I really need to make people stop interupting me during this show because, apparently, I'm missing out on some key stuff.

and yeah, that bothers me to. Though, charlie did mention her tonight.

I'm wondering how much of that was in his head, and how much was memory. I'm thinking that the whole buying off the boyfriend/doing his sister thing was really memory - the only part that was hallucination was the sister getting snatched by the boogeyman.

Charlie's a waste.

I tend to agree. I think the memory was real - or I should call it a flashback. I think they show those to us just to provide a backstory - not really what the people are thinking at the time.

That's one of the things that I really like about the show. You get this sense of people's personalities and relationships, and then you get the back story. Makes you rethink your opinion.

I was shocked when they did the backstory on the Asian couple. From my perspective, they were this close couple, totally in love, etc. And then you find out he was beating the crap out of her on a regular basis.

I'm glad you said that - that must have been one of the two I missed. I was wondering what the deal was with her. Studying to plan for an escape?

Yeah, in that episode, we found out that she was supposed to escape him at the airport as they were preparing to board. There was a car waiting to take her and hide her. She ended up not being able to leave him.

He's involved in some mafia-type thing with her father, I think.

Episode Recaps

If anyone is interested in seeing what was missed, check out the
Television Without Pity episode recaps.

If someone has a better site, please let us know. This author's self-insertion into the summaries and "humor" grate my nerves. The episode from tonight (1/12) isn't up yet, BTW.
