Lost

What was with the soldiers?

That's the flashback of who Sayid was before the crash. The girl he shot himself for is the same girl he carries photographs of.

I'll try. Might have more questions next week.

Won't be on next week. Check around on sat. nights, they sometimes play a couple episodes a 2nd time.

2 weeks to waits ahhhhh

I love Danielle, she is a wonderful actress, she was one of my favorite character in Babylon 5. I heard her voice first and instantly recognize her.

and yes, JinXed, Sayid is hawt!

Sayid's bio from the ABC site.

London-born Naveen Andrews auditioned for drama school and was accepted at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His studies paid off when he won a role in Hanif Kureshi's film, London Kills Me.

In 1993 Andrews was nominated by the Evening Standard Drama Awards as Most Promising Newcomer for his part in Wild West. His big break occurred when he was cast in the Oscar-winning film The English Patient. He then went on to appear in such films as Kama Sutra, Mighty Joe Young, True Love and Chaos, Rollerball and Drowning on Dry Land. He will also be seen in the upcoming Bride and Prejudice, directed by Gurinder Chadha for Miramax Pictures.

On television his starring performance in Chippendale Murders was highly acclaimed, as was his work in the BBC's The Buddha of Suburbia, for which he was nominated for Best Actor at the San Remo Film Festival. He also starred in the BBC's Peacock Spring, Double Vision, The Frontier and Mira Nair's My Own Country.

Andrerws enjoys playing the guitar, composing and reading. He resides in Los Angeles with his partner, Barbara Hershey. He has one son, Jaisal.

the voices... they whisper...

The actor who plays Sayid was much sexier on Entertainment Tonight last night. Thick British accent actually.

I don't trust the woman with the gun that he left behind. She's gonna do some hunting I bet.

I wonder what happened to the Dinosaur that was running around in the first few shows??

totally, I almost called you I was so freaked!!

Well Mr. Black Guy was over protective or just wisely protective of his son until they started playing golf. Now Black Guy Jr. is off trying out that big knife, so...

conflict in the making there with Mr. Big Knife. Dad's probably gonna be pissed when the kid gets hurt or lost. Well... more lost than they already are.

good show last night. I thought Sayid's story would be lame but it was pretty good...and am I wrong to think that Nadia IS still alive somewhere despite him saying she was dead?

The golf thing was cool...it really brought some realism to the show. I could really see that happening, shit I'd love to hit a few balls around.

Why do I find Kate's character going a bit flat these days? Is it cuase she's sliding over towards Sawyer? dunno but she had better pick up the pace.

Is the red patches on the one 'extra' guy (read: sure to die) the same thing that killed all of Danielles group? Probably...

Two weeks to wait? bummer

Did anybody notice how they made the big guy look to be losing some weight?
[speculation]
I figure the original castaways were probably carrying some kinda disease when they crashed on the island. Itl probably killed all the locals, and they were the only ones left. She injected Sayid with the serum(sp?) which has the side effect of making you psychotic.
Her son alex, probably a carrier of the disease somehow spread it to the "new guy" from which he'll die. I think that locke killed Alex when he originally went out hunting. It'll eventually come out and Danielle will decide to try and kill him, then everybody else because they try to protect him(Locke).
[/speculation]
While sadistic, Sawyer obviously considers their situation better than anybody else. This became vastly apparent with the bet at the end. He's the only person with any kind of currency. This will, of course, lead to a never ending string of political conflicts, Something the show has thus far only lightly touched on.
They need to do something to make freckles more likable. Or kill her off. Her character is soooo weak.
Lots of insite into future episodes last night:
a plague to deal with,
setting up the civilization,
internal politics,
external politics,
romantic relationships,
plus the remainder of the character development episodes.
Personally, I thought Sayid's tale was drawn out a bit much. they could have given a little more time to the golf tournament and maybe let us see a lighter side to some of the other main characters.
