Lost

I was tooling around on the Hanso website and found that Peter Thompson's bio has letters flashing across it. I'm guessing it's something that needs to be unscrambled.

These are the letter I came up with:

RIOCTUVLSG

As far as I can tell, these are the only letters.

According to the anagram generator, the ones that mande the most sense to me were CULTS VIRGO or CULTS VIGOR. Hanso *is* all about long life and health... hmm.

Thanks. The other possibility is that you the letters have to be used exactly as they're repeated. Unfortunately, I've only been able to slow it down enough to read the letters, but not confirm the order.

Also, for the compass (letyourcompassguideyou.com), I've discovered that when rotated to the lower right side of the page you get a bunch of coordinates, plus this is written:
DI9FFTR751
The 9 and the 1 may be something else, it's difficult to tell.

Also, the coordinates shown around the compass may have something to do with the Electromagnetic study page (thehansofoundation.org). Notice as the cursor moves around the page the coordinates change on the picture.

Man, this shit is giving me a headache, but riddles and puzzles like this damn near give me a hard-on. And I still have yet to check out the careers shit they gave us last night.

Edit: I figured out the compass. When the numbers show up, head straight out so that you don't move it, then click. The screen will go slightly dark and a box will appear in the upper left corner. Some information will show up that's too far over to the left for me to read, and then it asks yes or no. I typed both and the same thing happened. Another word shows up, click on that and you go somewhere else. From there I have no idea because I get kicked out each time. So would someone else please pick up where I left off?

When you reply with a lowercase "y" you are taken to the sub folder \usr\ where none of the folders allow you to enter. There may be something else you can do but I haven't found it yet...

And their boss (Penny Widmore) isn't Des' wife, but his love -- she was engaged to someone else.

I also read that people believed that they saw another plane crash near the end, so I watched the end over and didn't see it. It wouldn't surprise me though, afterall they crashed because Des didn't push the buttons in time.

I found this as well - Widmore Lab.

and this - Widmore Group
Johns father is on it, as well as that Mittlewerk guy from hansolo foundation.

It could, of course, not be 'real' meaning part of the show -- but a fan/hoax site. Who knows.
Widmore was the brand on the pregnancy test that Sun took.

There is.

If you go to the file pthompso, look for 'mail', and in that there's a sub-file labeled 'inbox'.
Within that sub-file is a google link. At the top of the google page is a site for decoding binary figures.
Back in the 'inbox' file, above the link there is a binary code.
When decoded you get the password for Hugh Mcintyre's press releases on thehansofoundation.org. Make sure you correctly space out the words and do not use any caps.

Also you may have to log in first by using breaking strain in the newsletter.

It's SURVIVOR GUILT. The screen will melt into "Persephone" telling you about the projects Peter Thompson has been involved in that are counter-intuitive for someone working for global health. It's part of the ARG.

The Widmore Lab site was created by a fan. If you click on the link at the bottom, you get the fan's blog, where they admit to creating just to see if people would find it and think it's part of the game.

The latest website is HansoCareers.com. No matter what combination you pick, they list 5 jobs. Haven't figured anything else out yet.

Anyone notice the loading screens on thehansofoundation.org? Look carefully at the loading percentage numbers. Any "random" numbers pop out at you?

Man, this shit is starting to disappoint me.

The whole subLYMONal thing is just an ad campaign by Sprite and other products. Seems to have nothing to do with Hanso. It has the feel of one of those "free ipod!!!!" ads, just more cleverly done. Oh, well, I'm a sucker so I'll keep going.

After logging in, go to Peter Thompson's bio page and up in the left corner you'll see where the time should be, it's blinking OBEY. Sound familiar? Anyway, you'll see what I mean.

By the way Lonelyinsnowlan, where do I enter SURVIVOR GUILT?

The subLYMONal site has changed, now totally a Sprite ad. However, if you type in Persephone, that is Hanso related, but only vaguely so. Persephone is supposedly the character who is revealing things to us from inside Hanso.

If you click below Peter Thompson's picture, just in the blank space, you'll be able to enter it there. A cursor will appear.

Something happens if you click on OBEY as well... can't remember now... and have you tried sending a message to Joop?

Yup.

At this point, I've haven't got the secret behind HansoCareers.com, nor have I yet to figure out what it means or where to look. Looks like I'm screwed. Damn it, damn it, it looks as if everything is evil.

As of this moment, this is everything that I know of on thehansofoundation.org.

Breaking Strain is the newsletter password.
Heir Apparent is the code for Mittlework's bio.
Clicking below Alvar Hanso's picture will bring up something.
Sending a letter to Joop will as well (doesn't matter what you write, could even be blank).
the mouth piece (exactly as written) is the code for Mcintyre's press releases.
There might be more that I've forgotten.

6/10

And the positive score was only because the scenes depicting the magnetism were cool. The way the box with hieroglyphics got crushed could've been a Magneto effect in X-Men. That was awesome. "I was wrong" was also the best line in the show.

Eh.

I'm reading your responses and honestly, I wonder what the hell you all are talking about.

After the first 6 episodes of the first season, yeah, all the accolades were due.

Now?

This show is:

A) indecipherable to new viewers.
B) Ridiculously executed (see Sawyer getting conned, Jack's ridiculous plan of surprise)
C) Poorly executed.

It used to ominously vague now it is just bewilderingly stupid.

"We're the good guys"

Has anyone ever heard an actual human being utter such a thing?

This show is doing one thing. Creating questions, confusion, and more confusion and that's it. ABSOLUTELY nothing is done in the way of plot development (they pushed a stupid button for a whole season. Typing numbers into a computer. Yeah, that's must see tv  ) or character development (Season 2 practically starred Michelle Rodriguez and now she's dead and didn't add nearly as much interest to the story as Hurley's mental health backstory. The Sawyer Jack love hate relationship is lame and forced, Claire and whats his name's relationship dullingly cliche and the show seems more about regurgitating actors and making everyone connected through seeming coincidence than actually telling a story.

This used to be one of the top 3 show's on tv.

I'm looking forward to the next season of Entourage and the Wire FAR more than I'm looking forward to season 3 of this crap.

More plot progression less stupid teasers.

Season 3 Season Premiere: The portugese team that discovered the electromagnetic anomaly is being watched by the doctor in the mental institute who told Hurley there is no David. He writes all of his findings in a notebook that goes up a chute that leads to.....

The shithole that Sayid dug for everyone to poop in on the island.

This show is starting to suck.

One thing that is interesting is the Four Toed Foot that Sayid saw.

I just read an interesting theory about what that may have to do with the Dharma Initiative.

I was just playing around with the message to Joop. Thanks for that.

But where is the word obey? Is that on the Hanso website, or another one?

Pen was engaged, but it was obvious that Desmond was her true love, and her finding him through that was the point of the whole soliloquy. I also don't think he's dead

I'm fairly sure they were speaking Russian

I'd go with portuguese myself, I heard one of them say "porque"

I pretty much agree.

As evidenced by my falling asleep during the finale ;)

If you're trying to figure out the shows mysterious through word games on Internet sites, you're going the slow route. They'd put up naked pictures of Kate before they gave away show secrets. Well, come to think of it, keep at it.

I agree, except that I could see someone saying "We're the good guys," if he had to convince them that everything being done was for a higher purpose. Kinda like how the President felt about himself in 24. For the good of the country/humanity.

The quote.

OB:EY shows up as the clock time in the upper left corner of the Hanso website.

Yes, the gray letters....

No luck? I just tried, and you should still be able to enter them. Click immediately below the left bottom corner of the picture. You'll get a blinking cursor. Promise.

The game is not about the show, so much as it's about the Hanso foundation and correlated to the show. It's not about the characters.

The good guys.... I've been wondering if that's a nod to the game... because on the letyourcompassguideyou.com you have to answer Y when asked "are you one of the good guys?".

If I recall the same thing happens whether you say yes or no to the question.

SnowLan, I got the SURVIVOR GUILT down, thanks.

The gray letters, when unscrambled, spell out Inmate Asylum, to be used as the password on the Board of Directors page.

I don't care if I solve anything about the show or not. I love puzzles like this. However, naked photos of Evangeline Lily would definitely be a nice prize for discovery.

I don't know how this was come upon, but supposedly it's for real.

hole2.thehansofoundation.org

It's a rather large binary code from Persephone's site. When decoded it creates this image. No idea who it is, but the area above his forehead may have something written there.
