Lost my job...

Ever feel so fed up with your job that sometimes you just want to walk out?

Well, I did that today!!! I feel great!!

Well, I feel OK now...but while in the process, my head was spinning with "OMG, how am I going to support myself if I don't find another job in time?" and "Oh fuck, they'll see what sort of a good worker walked out on them then they'll be the ones to regret it..."

Yeah, I went through all the emotions this afternoon...

What's going to happen now? I don't know. I truly don't know. I'm going to look for another job, obviously, but right now...I just want to fool around online... perhaps get some sympathy? hints

I don't know, even if you have to, lie to me telling me it's going to be OK...because I know it will be. If I have to flip burgers for a few months, then oh well, I'll flip burgers (although technically most burgers are now just heated up or go through that conveyor belt thing that's on fire...)...

You'll be fine. Look at it as an opportunity to find something better. You probably would never have looked for anything else if you had still been there.

Slips in to hug Zy and squeeze her tight and kisses her cheek. "Well, it's awesome that you decided just to not take anymore and walk out just like that. I'm sure you've absolutely shown them just what they're missing." He grins and nods.

"It's okay to be okay sweetie, you're going to be much happier in the long run for it because you'll at least know you've gotten out there and done what you needed to." He pinches her bottom playfully.

Sorry to hear you've joined the ranks of the unemployed Zy. As one of the unemployed though, quite happy to have someone as lovely as you beautifying the place up. Working at a place you don't want to be will crush your soul, more so than almost anything else I've encountered. Leaving it behind was absolutely the correct thing to do.

Congratulations. You did something not a lot of people have ever done in their entire life! I hope you made a scene. I've always wanted to make a scene at work, just flip out and quit in the most unique way ever.

The good news is that the economy is looking better, more companies are offering jobs and there are a variety of industries that are showing some real growth for the first time in the last couple of years.

So, all in all I think you made a wonderful decision. You got to stop doing something you hate while doing something you've wanted to do for a long time, and there's the perfect job out there for you just as soon as you apply for it.
