I was listening to a cd while thinking about posting on Lit and remembering some of the strange threads (eg the word assosciation one) that are fun to be part of. A thought struck me - would it be possible to run a 'discussion' thread where sentence you say is a direct quote of a song lyric. So I figured I'd try. If anyone is interested in following up, please do so from the post after this one.

Again the rule is everything you say must be a direct quote from a song lyric - no changing any words or anything else like that. And note the artist and song (or if its from a show the show and song) so people can look it up if they're curious. Interested? Here comes the first greeting post:

"Hello, hooray, let the show begin. I've been ready." (Alice Cooper, "Hello, Hooray")

"Let Me Entertain You," Queen (who else?)

"I've come here to sell you my body/ I can show you some good merchandise/ I'll pull you and I'll pill you/ I'll Cruella DeVille you/ And to thrill you I'll use any device! (Ah, ha ha ha ha)"

"Lookin' At You" Bob Geldof

"On a night like this I deserve to get kissed at least once or twice//Yet come over to my place, they're screaming blue murder need some place to hide."
