won't this be poetic (or sumthin) should I lose ability to draw AND masturbate! My two escapes. MAybe I will learn how to write..?

sigh.
It actually HURt to draw with my left hand.

even if it didn't it would take a good deal of retraining...I could not vary line weight well...good Practice regardless.

makes me think.

anyway...might get it all starightened out with exercise, diet, medication, enviromental changes, surgery..whatever. Could be worse...going blind does not appeal to me..and when I really begin losing my mind/memory...will be saddest.

seriously, see an orthopedist and if it is tendonitis, therapy works! it hurts, but it works. i have been through all you're going through.... be sure and let us know. Don't wait long.

You can't expect much on the first attempt. You are using muscles that you haven't used in that way before.

I describe myself as ambi-sinistrous - equally bad with both hands. I can do two-finger typing with my left hand if my right is too painful to use both hands.

My brother is ambidextrous. He can draw and paint equally well with either hand but he has had about 60 years practise.

alrighty,,, I saw the Doctor and the docotor saw me.
He suspects Carpal Tunnel syndrom...and ordered an EMG (electromygraphy) becaus eit is fun to stick needles into the muscle and watch 'em jump.

Earliest appointment is aug 12.

so...sittin' and waitin'...then find out is it or no...and if so...surgery or no.

that's it.

i've had that nerve test done...it's not really that bad.(not as bad as cortisone shots in the wrists)... I hope it is CTS rather than tendonitis because CTS can be corrected with surgery, which supposedly works very well.

luck to you :rose:

Good luck with things rhino -- the touchpad needs to be sexed up a bit. It'd be lots more fun and completely unworksafe if there was something nice to be touching printed on the pad... :D

They need to make a penis shaped joystick type mouse for those recouperating from CT! lol That way the victom can get full use back to their wrist!!! lol

On a serious note, why not get one of those people in that check the positioning of your computer/ keyboard/ chair etc. Charge it to the company and you will be doing better before you have the tests done. It wouldnt hurt and hey its money well spent.

I agree that you sketch better with your left than I do with my right, you could always save those drawings for when you get old and lazy, just tell them they are resent works! lol

Good luck handsome!

I forgot to mention, Im a tucker, I tuck my pillow over my arm and under my head at night. Every night I wake up with rubbery arms, from my shoulder to my elbow is numb and down the outside of my forarm and along my pinkys.
I am sure its pinched nerves, I just need a new sleeping position where I dont snore and I dont go numb- isnt that a pretty thought! lmao

Most likely. The problem pretty much resolved when I quit office work, but I still sleep in them from time to time if my wrists are achey.

Incidentally, switching from standard mouse to a track ball made a huge difference. I also now use a padded wrist rest with my keyboard.
If you use that track ball alot, you may develop a pinched nerve from the cocking motion that you have to make with you hand...I used to use one, thought it was more ergonomic than a mouse....wrong!
