monogamous and mate for life.

They eat lots of fish and travel a lot.

And they have a funny laugh.

Thank you.

I think there needs to be something about the moon in there too.

You know. That thing in the sky.

So you're saying my parents are "loons?"

Thanks, cock.

That's crazy.

You're welcome.

Their 'laugh' is used by many movies as some sort of jungle bird call which really bugs the hell out of me.

If so, I saw them today. They were eating trout sushi.

There's a moon in the sky.

It's called "the moon".

I like that song.

Loons are cool!

Maybe that train of thought is passe, but I happen to think they got it right.

:D

(I have a funny laugh, by the way!)

2 things I did not know:

1. That lons are used a jungle bird voice doubles;

2. It bugs the hell out of You.

Demon Loon Spirits...BEgone from this child!

Katherine Hepburn calling loons in in "On Golden Pond" is one of my favorite movie scenes.

Now that is funny.

The one about the pizza pie.

Now THAT's amore.

I watched "Kate & Leopold" last nite and I think Deano sings at the end.

And the moon was out.

Kismet?

I can do a loon call that brings 'em to the dock.

And I dig monogamy.

Ergo, ipso fatso, I am crazy as a loon.

Loons here on the lakes in Southern Maine...

are very vocal. Can't describe their voice, but once you hear it, you remember it. Can dive and stay down for a couple of minutes and surface a hundred yards away. Mornings early and evenings are best to catch them.

In Nova Scotia, we don't catch them.

You Mainers are savages.

No, you're thinking of a large, often ornate cabinet or wardrobe.

I used to love watching Staircase & Hutch before The Furniture Guys blew them away.

Ride Vaquero! Ride!

I'm thinking a loon on a horse is more probable than a loon in the desert, though. With Vincent Minelli directing, no less. Jinkies, talk about a loon!

Loon calls rank right up there as one of my favorites (most owl calls and Vireos also). It's not unusual for us to hear loons calling when we're out sailing. But to here them in the jungle bothers me because it's wrong (accuracy matters to me.)

Perhaps they're on a jungle tour?
