It's fun, isn't it, when a character becomes so complex and real that suddenly you don't find yourself quite as in control of the story as you thought you were. They react in different ways, and suddenly you, the author of all people, don't know exactly what happens next. Sometimes, it can even feel like those characters are just using you to get their story out, rather than you creating that story and the characters.
Do you know what I mean? Or am I way off?
