Might be gone again saturday..grams's kidneys are shutting down fully, the doctor says don't do the dialysis and my mom and aunt can't but help not want to if it will help her. She needs a pace maker put in but she's to old for that...so it ain't looking to good for her but one never knows. So against the doctors advice she gets her first treatment morrow.

Sorry to hear about your gram sin. I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing, but I won't judge the situation as they're just trying to help.

OHHH sweetie -- i am going through that here with my daughters father-- his kidneys shut down on him also-- -- she is going to be beat the first few times they do it but once she gets used to the treatments she should do better-- just one question-- are they using ports/ catheters or a fistula??
if they are going to keep doing dialysis they need to get a fistula in and maturing so they can use that soon -- ports get infections bad and we almost lost him 3 times in 1 year because of all the infections-- and trust me it was kept clean-

OHHH sweetie -- i am going through that here with my daughters father-- his kidneys shut down on him also-- -- she is going to be beat the first few times they do it but once she gets used to the treatments she should do better-- just one question-- are they using ports/ catheters or a fistula??

Can answer that now, they decided against the dialysis this morning, she wont be able to handle the side effects of it, so they give her two weeks left till they shut down fully and she passes on. But deep in my heart I know it's best, she's in her 90's full life and she's suffering.
