Looking in TN

Well there are better ways..but I already talked to you about that earlier *grins*
 
since i made the suggestion to AR i'll try to answer the same 3 facts about myself tonight.
my favorite book has always been either Arrows of the Queen, or Phoenix and Ashes, both by Mercedes Lackey, honestly i love most of her works in her Elemental Masters and Heralds of Valdemar. i think i like those two books best though because i identify a lot with the heroines back ground, and wish i could be as strong as them.

as for movie, i have always held Alien Resurrection very high in my list, same with Practical Magic.

writing is something that is hard for me, i can come up with great idea, and even "movies" of what i want to write in my head but can't flesh them out on paper as it were. but sometimes when i the mood strikes or it's asked of me i will try my best, wich is how my short story here, was writen, it was asked of me by a close male friend, and i tried to meet the requirements, ofcourse i was a bit more shy when i wrote it, so my next attempt might not be so vague.

anything else i should talk about tonight?
random chatter is good too :p
 
Thanks for the 3 facts :) I never would have guessed an alien movie as anyone's favorite. They are good, but never thought they were "favorite" material.

lol something about a smallish female kicking the ass of a large monster is great, love how rough around the edges ripply is too, besides the first horror movie i was allowed to watch was alien. for my 8th birthday, my dad rented it because i wanted to see it (my brother ryan had seen it and was going on and on about it) he and i just curled up on the couch and watched it. after i didn't have nightmares i was allowed more freedom- at dads house anyways, mom still had an "R" block on my renting capabilitys when i was 15.

Perhaps you just need someone to bounce some ideas off of. Or just write them down and try to free associate and see what comes out. You can always scrap an idea and go back to your paper if it doesn't quite work out. Just a thought :)

thanks for the advice darlin, i tend to sit down with an idea and type out everything at once that comes to mind. sometimes it's good others i delete. but i don't do it often.
 
Oh you just cannot beat sigourney weaver in the Alien movies....so sexy!

Sorry if that's quite off subject, I just had to interject that. LOL :)
 
hmmmmm what to post tonight.....
working on a second story lol, as a few already know, need to fix it up a little bit, add more meat and then polish it up, then i'll be submitting it on here.

i'm still looking for replys guys/girls :p

seriously ask what ever you want or just start a random convo, it's all good ^_^
 
Pretty good first short story, finally had a chance to read it.

Too add to the Alien convo...I just watched AVP II over the weekend. It was quite a disappointing stinker. At least the first one tied in a little better with the Alien story line.

i didn't care for avp much at all, i mean it happened on earth around our time, how then would the first known encounter have happened so far into the future? i don't know small things like that make me a little bit nit picky.
haven't seen avpII yet though.
it does do fair on the preditor front then on the alien front i will say that.

Don't bother with the second one at all, its not worth your time. The first one ties in to the original by hinting at the fact the company (Weyland is the company in both) kept eggs or aliens and that ultimatly lead to the situation you see in Alien. I'm not a big sci fi buff by any means, so I'm sure someone devout could really go into a lot more detail :)

thanks for the warning darlin, and i had actually forgotten that fact lol, shows how much i cared for that movie.
