Yes, it is a false sense of ownership. You should examine that more closely. It is a public board and as such, I have just as much a right to express my opinion as you do. As someone so BIG on FREE SPEECH, I would think you could appreciate that.

The AH is a mishmash. We chat, which should be on the general board. We advertise our stories, which should be on the feedback board. We write on the fly smut, which should be on the SRP board. We ask for edits, which should be on the SDC board. It is a no boundaries, no monitors and a do-what-you-like-as-long-as you're-reasonably-tolerant board. There are no rules and a lot of things which could happen on other boards happen here because we prefer each other's company.
It isn't really a place for shouldn't and mustn't, which is why you got people riled. Our modus operandi tends to be live and let live and "if you don't like, don't look".
From our PM conversation, I understand why you were a bit peeved. However, you did come stomping in with size 13s to tell Carson and 4degrees to 'move this shit somewhere else.' It may have been justified to you, but you didn't exactly phrase it well and I shouldn't think you should be surprised at receiving vitriol.
Nothing to do with seniority as far as I'm concerned. More to do with the fact that your appearance in this thread attacked some posters who a lot of people would consider friends and then you seemed shocked and appalled that people were upset.
As you observed, post count and seniority means nothing. However, being rude to a room of people to whom you're a stranger will never win you friends.

Oh, and by the way... chances are - protesting that "this shit be moved elsewhere" is not going to get it moved to the SRP board. The SRP board is mainly for established story threads and this was NOT a story thread. It was done for entertainment, both for the particpants and an established audience who actually like this kind of thing and have expressed their appreciation in the past. Perhaps it was my fault... I didn't put "Cyber Sex Thread" in the title or first post... forgetting that not everyone is accustomed to this sort of thread. The "established audience" knows what to expect; a newbie wouldn't.
