Looking for the name of a Mind Control Story

I've combed the entire site but can't seem to find this story. It may have been taken down or something. Here is the premise:

Guy finds a jewel (or amulet) in his mom's friends house which controls her. She is a single mother who used to be an acrobat at a carnival. I think the name Anton had some relevance in the story.

It used to be a top story on this site and I need a re-read. I'd appreciate it if yall would help me out

I have tried through the Advanced Search of stories. I set it for Mind Control and looked for consecutively for Amulet, Acrobat and Anton. I found stories for all those terms but none of them fit.

I remember that story. It was pretty good. Cant remember the author or the story name though. It used to be in the mind control top list so if its not there now, it might have been removed by the author.

I've searched for this story for quite some time but couldn't remember it's name either. I remembered the key words "anton, jewel, babysitter" but nothing.
