As I remember this story. It was about a man hiking, I believe, and being attacked by a big black wolf. Turns out the wolf resided in a man that wanted to die to release{?} the wolf. The first guy ended up with the wolf inside him, the ring on his finger which 'controlled' the wolf and 'inherited' the guy's wealth. If I remember right. Ended up with a woman living a floor or two below him that showed him how to transform and run in the mountains.
I always remember story lines but danged if I can remember titles.
