Once more, I am in a writing rut. To get my muse out of her customary coma, I make this thread.
I will vote and leave a shiny public comment. In case I have something critical to say, I'll save that for private feedback (why dirty the public comments, eh?).
What am I looking for?
1. A story. Please. Don't give me stroke fests. I don't mind a good stroke, but the characters should have higher functions than walking boobs and penises.
2. I am category agnostic. Any of the categories would suit me fine. The only things that I am NOT looking for are excretory fetishes.
3. Long is fine. Too long isn't. I draw the line at 8 pages. Although, if a story is really that engaging, I can be persuaded to stay till double digits.
4. Conversely, short sharp stories are also welcome. For reference, I present this beauty.
5. Darker themes get higher preference. Tragedy gets the highest.
6. Good dialogue is a plus. Emotions are welcome too.
7. While I am not overly fastidious when it comes to grammar and punctuation, there should be some semblance of care taken in that regard.
8. Last, but most importantly, I'm looking for something unique. Something offbeat. Something that deviates from the pre-set of cliches laid down for every category.
There you have it. My list of requirements. I'll add more if needed.
