Once more, I am in a writing rut. To get my muse out of her customary coma, I make this thread.

I will vote and leave a shiny public comment. In case I have something critical to say, I'll save that for private feedback (why dirty the public comments, eh?).

What am I looking for?

1. A story. Please. Don't give me stroke fests. I don't mind a good stroke, but the characters should have higher functions than walking boobs and penises.

2. I am category agnostic. Any of the categories would suit me fine. The only things that I am NOT looking for are excretory fetishes.

3. Long is fine. Too long isn't. I draw the line at 8 pages. Although, if a story is really that engaging, I can be persuaded to stay till double digits.

4. Conversely, short sharp stories are also welcome. For reference, I present this beauty.

5. Darker themes get higher preference. Tragedy gets the highest.

6. Good dialogue is a plus. Emotions are welcome too.

7. While I am not overly fastidious when it comes to grammar and punctuation, there should be some semblance of care taken in that regard.

8. Last, but most importantly, I'm looking for something unique. Something offbeat. Something that deviates from the pre-set of cliches laid down for every category.

There you have it. My list of requirements. I'll add more if needed.

Tragedy: The Mill http://www.literotica.com/s/the-mill (ending needs work. Maybe you can help.)

Crap... I'll have to go back and look for the comment. Too many stories to keep up.

Hmmm... I'd say "Ebon Genesis", but that one does have some menstrual and golden shower stuff in it.

Really the only other dark ones I have are the two "Home by the Sea" takes, and those are hardly tragedy.

http://www.literotica.com/s/documentary-cougar maybe? Not really dark, but it does have a sad undertone and an ominous ending.

That's about it. I don't get the urge to write dark stuff that often any more.

FYI, just dark will also do. Tragic is a plus if possible.

I liked the cougar story :D

Hmmm dialogue, emotions, dark some tragedy.

You could always read what I sent you awhile back.

I actually read around half of it before real life violated my free time in several unpleasant ways. Will try to get back on the saddle on that one.

I've got a tragedy in EH that might fit the bill, if you haven't already seen it (though "unique" is in the eye of the reader).

LOL... I expected something similar. To be honest, the ending felt a little forced though. I get you were trying to go for the ironic/shocking twist.

Overall I liked the story, as says my comment.

Thanks for reading. That was one of my earlier stories. I've learned a million things since then. :D

I don't know if AMoveableBeast would want you to comment here, but try
The Submissive Gene (this link is to Chapt 1).

I am slowly writing a review of it, it's enjoyably challenging writing the review! Really well written and I was already thinking of recommending it to you.

Do read Shea's! Her writing is unique, haunting. It reminds me a little of the story you were writing about the world of the dead.

Read with a glass of red wine. Trust me.

I have two that are a little off the beaten path:

http://www.literotica.com/s/a-flower-in-the-darkness

http://www.literotica.com/s/the-tank-1

The first one is just the first chapter in a longer piece. With a second chapter hopefully coming in July.

Done. I liked both. The second one reminded me of a short horror story.

I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.”

Your writing is superbly nuanced. I'll try to read more of yours if I get the time.
