It just happens to be a bastion for orthodox Jews, too, It is a racially and culturally diverse suburb, on the edge of Detroit that has undergone a real rebirth in the past several years. Apparently, Mr. Blades didn't participate, or if he did, he should have been aborted. (That's just my opinion, of course).
