Looking for LW story where wife leaves to see old friend or BF before he goes to service

I recall a story where a wife feels she needs to travel to see an old BF or someone who I think is going off to the service. Not sure if she tells husband sex is part of it or the old no sex just friends. I don't recall the ending if she slept with the guy or not but I do think the husband does not divorce.
