Thank you,

Okay, I have to admit to being curious. If you're writing erotica, why would you need someone else to write the sex scenes? That's kind of the critical component of an erotic story.

What she said. This has the stench of "please write sex for me so I can sell it." Until you can convince anyone that's not the intent, and I don't see how you can, good luck getting more replies even as nice as Chloe's.

Because I can't write a sex scene that I'm happy with. I can handle the rest of the story but not the actual sex scene. It is that simply.

So for example, I had a Batman story in mind. i can write the dialogue, action, plot, etc but for whatever the reasons I can't seem to write the sex scene. I had tired and failed. I can outline them but that is about it.

Plus technically I don't view my stories at erotica. I viewed them as story with sex meaning whereas erotica, "literature or art intended to arouse sexual desire." My stories just had adding sex scene in them but the sex isn't the focus. Does that make sense?

It makes sense but really, if you want to write, there are no short cuts. You're going to have to learn. If you're writing erotica, sex is a critical component, whether graphic or implied. It's not that hard, there are thousands of good examples on this website alone. If you can't write one from scratch, use someone else's as a model and write and rewrite until it's your own. I think a lot of us have been there, it's a learning curve and unless you do it yourself it's not your story. Buckle down and write it. It may be bad but it's a start. There's no easy way to learn except by doing it. Wish there was but there ain't. Good luck.

I agree with Chloe. You have to learn how to do it yourself. If you want to be a writer...write. I had the same problem you do when I first started writing. I don't write erotica, but in some of my stories there came a point where it was vital to show a connection formed from two characters being sexually intimate. I couldn't really throw in a side note "they had hot, steamy sex" and resume the story without taking the reader through the actual experience. Since it wasn't meant to be erotica, it was difficult for me to describe the scene without being too graphic or, at the same time, too technical or bland. A lot of my stories revolve around emotions, so I learned to describe the scene using more descriptors of how the actions 'felt' rather than what physically took place. It took a long time and a lot of wasted words before I got the result I was looking for. Sometimes less is more . . . The reader has an imagination of their own too. Not everything has to be spelled out for them. Then again, depending on the feel of your story, sometimes you have to dig out your filthy words and naughty thoughts and just let it flow. The more you try, the more comfortable you'll get until you yield the results you wanted...

You do realise that you don't HAVE to put in a sex scene, don't you ?

Or
Scribble down what YOU like in sex; write it slowly to get it right.
Then graft it into your story, perhaps.
