Yes, I understand people pretend. I’m not a fan but I get it. I wasn’t prepared for the hookup messages. I just thought I could try to meet other writers.

I write gay bdsm romances that deal with broken people finding love in each other and building each other back up. There is sa trauma involved in my stories because it’s something I’ve dealt with and found healing with my partner so I guess I keep writing extreme fantasy versions of my own story. I don’t have a favorite. I love them all. All my characters are my like my babies.

I suppose to clarify my initial post:

Nothing WRONG with reaching out to someone via DM if you wanna talk with them more personally.

I personally have no problem with anyone sending me a DM.

But not everyone is the same way and then there's the whole issue of trolls stalking the women members here with ulterior motives that can cause many to distrust the random DM from an unknown, unproven member.

It's just something to keep in mind, is all.
