There is a story feedback forum and a story ideas forum. That may be more of what you're looking for in that regard.

But this is certainly the place to hang out with other writers and authors and wanna-be authors.

besides, as an author, you should be able to write any character.

Add in the word "true" as in "true author" because there are people who never do any research and hence, can only write one or two kinds of characters.
