I’m looking for an editor for my third story for Literotica. The story is a suspense/mystery and a bit of Twilight Zone type psychological thriller. The text is complete and I have been editing for clarity and typos, so the editing needs will probably be light. I’m extremely pleased at how the story has turned out. I’m mostly looking for another set of eyes to find ways that it could be even better. I’ve done some spelling and grammar checks, but there will certainly be a few that fell through the cracks as well. The story is 34K words, which I realize is larger than the average story here.

The Story Premise:
A guy wakes up to find that his soulmate is gone. She didn’t leave. She never existed. There is no trace of her existence to be found. Was she only a dream? He remembers her vividly and it feels like he’s known for many years. It’s still just as devastating as if his wife had died in a plane crash. There is no body, but he still grieves and it eats at his soul. This is not the first time that this has happened upon awakening, and he’s not sure how many times. Every time this happens, his memories of her fade completely within a few hours upon awakening, though the pain lingers just as intensely even when the memories are gone.

He has a plan this morning when it happens again. He immediately gets to work and quickly draws her before he loses those memories. He minored in art in college and excels in drawing portraits. He also uses his phone’s voice recorder to verbally record what he remembers as he is drawing.

The story starts off with him waking up and getting to work with his drawings. It then goes to a flashback to his most recent memories of her. He remembers that her name is “Emma.” Things get interesting… and dark. The erotic content is intermingled with the storyline. There is lots of emotion to describe, and dialog is important. The stories screws with the main character's mind and hopeful the readers .

Some of my writing Background:
I was too impatient to seek the help of an editor for my first two stories, but I managed to get them published on the first submission. Both stories are about 30K words and both have done reasonably well. I'm most pleased with "Untrusted," and it will give you an idea of my writing style (and deficiencies :)). I’ve wondered how much better they could have been if I had gotten an experienced editor to give me suggestions for improvement.

Reckless: 4.48 (21)

Let me know if you would like to be involved with my latest story. Some of you guys are REALLY good and there is plenty left for me to learn. I've tried using Lit's editor search tool, but none of the editor's I've contacted there have acknowledged my requests so far. Thank you for your consideration.
