Looking for continued story

Hey, hope this is ok to ask, but some time ago I came across a story that continued Threads: The Island story. I know it wasn't by the same author, but I was in the middle of moving and starting a new job. Didn't have the time to read it, but now I can't seem to find it. Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction or give me the name of the author who picked it up. Thanks in advance

Just curious, did this other author have permission to continue it? From everything I hear the author of Threads went MIA a long time ago.
