I've got a story on Chyoo (Frustration's end ) that has evolved a bit beyond what I was first thinking of. Originally, I started a few threads that was the beginning of a true story of a night of fun two firls and I had in college. I was thinking it would be fun to get some others to add to it from there to get sort of a new version of the events (kind of a "what if.."). Well, one imaginative person instead added the same events I had written but from another participant's point of view. This was a quite unexpected, but very welcum ( ;) ), addition.

And, it got me thinking that it would be nice to find a lady to write the third person's (Christina's) perspective. Check out the (admittedly) short set of threads so far and see if you can not only let us know what you think she was thinking during the events so far but also take the events one more step. I'm thinking it would be fun to sort of leap-frog through the story using each of the three particiant's perspectives to collaborate.

Nice start. I like how nymphonan64 started the alternate viewpoint. I look forward to seeing more here.

I hate to tell ya this... but it's a sausage fest here. I haven't seen many post by the female persausion here for quite a while. Maybe if you get lucky, Daciasdesire or Ohhhkitty will pop back in. They're the two most prominate female writers on Chyoo.

perhaps sending one of them a message.

I'm guessing Cutie569 hasn't been active on Chyoo for sometime then? Then again for that matter neither have I, but I'm male though.

Yeah, I figured it was a bit of long shot but worth a try.

yeah the size of the Corpus Callosum is directly related to the sex drive and orientation thus you normally only get lesbians who are interested in the same things as men in this field, as well being the only ones with the initiative to do so leading to our current problem. But have no fear as they are not impossible to find, the key is to find women and speak with them, they do exist :nana: learn from women what they want, which is frankly just good advice. ;) But, if you want to add the girl POV remember a few points:

-On the average women expirence everything with more emotion.

-honestly one great way to write from a woman's point of view "Think of a man and take away reason and accountablity." Now this only works as reason and accountability are understood by the average male mind, and must be done with fear and trepidation. But when done correctly is very effective.

-Women think about people more than men.

-Competition for women is deeper, men tend to get over competitive situations where woman will hold grudges for years.

-For a woman almost every action taken involving others is done with diliberation. However, actions that don't involve people are often with unconscious direction. Women therefore see others as taking the same amount of time and consideration in doing the same, but men by comparison take things in the very reverse of these two places.

-Keats said truth is beauty and beauty is truth, but look for truth and women beauty.

This is a direct quote from As Good As It Gets with Jack Nicholson. He said it when someone asked how he wrote such believable woman (the character was a hit novelist). The character was trying to insult the questioner (a woman). It's not a complimentary assessment of how to write female characters. I'd avoid using this quote in the future as a way to do this.

I started off my first few threads on this site from a woman's POV. The story was a 2nd person POV called Nude Outing. Now I shy away from writing from the woman's POV because I am so bad at it. It is interesting to think about how you have to change your thought process to get the right feel to writing as the opposite sex. The more I think about it the more I am intrigued at trying to do it in a successful way.

I like your story by the way. It is an intesting hook with the woman sleeping at your place and a new one showing up at the door.

Yes but notice that I added the qualifying statement

It is a relative thing.
But it does work and with good reason. The biology of the male and female brain are different, the part of the brain which controls these two aspects is far more active in the male mind than in the woman's. PC or not, its true.

P. S. I would like to add that great movie to watch to explain how women see the world is What Women Want, which is a collaboratively written piece done by both men and women, and directed by a woman.
