Looking for an editor

I am looking for an editor to review a rather lengthy story I have written.

25,667 words or 54 pages in Word.

The story falls under the Romance category which oddly enough wasn’t where it was headed when I started it.

I would like an editor who is a fan of that genre for my own peace of mind that I have appealed to the proper audience.

I have most if not all the spelling errors fixed (thank you Word), and have reread it so many times I just don’t know what could be wrong with it anymore. I am looking for any fixes that need to be done, structure, plot, character development, even grammar or spelling if any are found.
I have never been a very good writer (in my opinion) but that isn’t what I hear from the wife. So honesty is also important.
I don’t really have a time frame in mind on how long it should take to edit, just as long as the person editing will stay in touch with me. I had sent it to one VE and they wouldn’t answer my repeated emails then a week later they said they were sick and couldn’t do it. I wouldn’t care for the time she was taking, I just need to know she wasn't dead.

So if your up to the challenge, and don’t mind checking in with me from time to time, then I would love to hear from you.

I am currently busy, but I do have "lull" times. I don't have a great amount of time to edit, but as you're more interested in "getting it done" and not anxious about a deadline, we might be able to work something out. I am good about keeping writers appraised of my progress and asking questions, if any arise.

I'm a writer myself so I tend to make many suggestions, alternatives to how the story is currently written, especially where it comes to the "flow". If I see distractors I will suggest alternatives to make sure it flows more smoothly.

The length doesn't scare me (not a virgin, lol) but you will have to exhibit patience. Can't give you a target dealine until I'm done with my backlog and I see the writing, point size, margins, etc. of yours. May be able to get started within the week, though. Depending on quality and other factors, can usually edit 12 - 16 Word pages a day, if this prediction is any help.
