Looking for an editor

So.. umm ..here goes nothing. I'm a writer. I know, duh. Anyway, i've had minor success with my stories here but the main thing that some have said was missing was the editing and the use of an editor. So thats what i'm looking for. I write mostly incest but have been known to venture out. Oh, who am I kidding? All of my work is in the incest section. I just don't usually use family members. I'll explain to whoever responds. Or just go read my stuff.

I am writing a new story that sorta gets away from what I normally do. I'm trying to branch out, see if I'm not just a one-trick pony. I need someone who doesn't mind a neurotic, hand-holding, unable to take harsh critism bitch at times and someone who doesn't mind reading mindless drivel such as this.

I'm willing to work hard and put my all into this story cause i'm sorta hoping I can make a career out of this writing business. Anyway, I know this doesn't even begin to answer whatever questions some people might have so just hit me up on my email. Its on my user profile.

Maybe not...

You don't need an editor to help you branch out, dear. That's your job as a writer. Imagine it, dream it, stroke it, love it. Then try to find the words to convey that feeling.

An editor's job would be more along the lines of reeling you in, making you re-examine your prose and making sure you say what you want.

It's sort of like you playing the lead guitar and he's plunkin' bass; flights of fancy anchored in the solid earth.

I agree. i just need someone who can understand that at times, i'm gonna be whiny and not gonna work. i know, what i really need is a baby sitter. but i just need someone who will at least try to be a little patient with me and hell, maybe even like my work. that would be kinda cool, kinda new. lol

I guess I should have put the reason that I was having trouble with my story. I'm working on a nonconsent/reluctance story that has romance in it. It also deals with a man who is patterned after an ex of mine. I have reread the damn beginning of the story a hundred times and every time I find another reason to junk it. I guess I just need a fresh set of eyes to tell me that its ok or if its just plain drivel.
