I’m currently searching for an editor or proofreader for my stories someone who's not just skilled with words, but also someone I can genuinely connect with. I’m looking for a like-minded, open individual who’s passionate about storytelling and creativity.

This isn’t just about fixing grammar.
I want to build a long-term collaboration where we can bond over ideas, share perspectives, and grow together in the creative process. If you enjoy diving deep into stories, offering thoughtful feedback, and being part of a creative journey, I’d love to hear from you.

I’ll be honest while it’s not a must, I would prefer working with a female editor. I believe having a female gaze involved would really help me understand and incorporate that perspective into my writing through tips, insights, and ideas.
But if we vibe we vibe regardless of your gender 😁 I just want someone who gets me.

If this resonates with you, feel free to reach out! Let’s see if we vibe and bring some amazing stories to life together.

I'm afraid there are always more writers than editors. It's hard work, and I think many of the volunteer editors who sign up underestimate just how much time and effort it requires. And once they've tried it, they're reluctant to give it another go.

That's not to say that you should give up. I'm just explaining why you're probably feeling a bit like Bobby the dinosaur:

Also no offense, but your pitch could be interpreted as seeking more of a sexting/roleplay partner who also edits for you, which... is kind of a lot😅

I think you would be better off just trying to find a willing beta-reader and see how well you end up collaborating, not looking for a Writing Wife right off the bat 🤣

Hahaha, no offense taken at all honestly, that's probably one of the funniest responses I've gotten.
Definitely not out here trying to find a "Writing Wife" more like a "Partner in (Creative) Crime," minus the weird Craigslist energy.
You’re maybe right though, starting with something simple like beta-reading and just seeing if the creative chemistry is there sounds okay (and a lot less intense!).

Either way, thanks for keeping it real it’s refreshing!
Hope we cross creative paths one way or another 😏 Writing wife 😂
