When I published my first stories 10 years ago, I was fortunate to find a stunningly effective and patient editor who really helped me. Unfortunately, she seems to have moved on, and when I came back to writing recently I could not get ahold of her. (MistressJoanna, wherever you are, I will always be grateful for your help.)

I'm looking for an editor or reader to proof and comment on several short stories I have in the pipeline. Ideally I'd like someone who knows something about the psychological aspects of dominants/submissives, and also something about lesbian sex. So, if you fit that bill or you know someone, can you help me or perhaps hook me up? [EDIT] And, oh yeah, there's some incest in some of my stories. And some nonhuman creature-type contact. And possession. And some mild bondage and mild mind control. So, if you're put off by any of that, maybe not your ideal material. [/EDIT]

Some of my (unedited) prose:
For some reason, I looked past her to the nightstand, and her sleep mask caught my eye. “Are you having trouble sleeping again, mom? I know that was a thing for a while, but I thought you had it fixed.” She looked over at the nightstand.
“Oh, that,” she said. “Just a bit, you know.” She cupped my right breast with her right hand and rolled my nipple back and forth between her fingers. She smiled at me, then looked down at my naked body, pressed against hers, waiting to be used by her. “Probably my guilty conscience.”

appears as if there is some incest in there as well ... you should mention that too for any potential editors.

Oh, yeah - there's that. Sandwiched in between some of the other things on Literotica, I thought that was almost too tame to mention, but you're probably right, flagging it wouldn't hurt.

so you're looking for a squid or octopus editor?
If you're referring to my username, that was chosen at random ten years ago. I really don't get hung up on stuff like that. That's why I never majored in "marketing." If it's freaking people out, I'll find some way to change it.

Anybody else out there creeped out by my username? Raise your hands.

Not creepy. However, I sent an editor request a few days ago. and not even sure how to find replies. I have a story I'd like to share but I've learned that it must hand together as a story. Would you like to give edit it?

I'm in the same boat - I'm actually looking for an editor myself. I would help you out if I could but it would be like one of the passengers trying to land the plane. Sorry. I hope we both find editors soon - most of them seem to have returned to the Editor Planet, or wherever editors come from.

We come from the deep recesses of your mind.

Editing on here can be hit or miss. I used to do some editing on here myself, but it got old because of the "demands" from some of the authors. Then the "This is my baby and it will win a Pulitzer, what do you mean this needs editing here?" routines. BUT that said, you will do better if you list a few things about your needs:

Genre' or subject matter i.e. category it would fit in on here
Youngest ages - (not everyone cares about this)
Word count
Your medium: WORD, GOOGLE docs.. etc.
What kind of edit, a deep dive, or a quick frilly look at
Anything you can think of to help catch some interest from a potential editor.

Good Luck
