Hey everyone,
I'm a new writer, having started submitting stories to the site just before Christmas. I've worked with a couple of editors who have greatly improved my writing with regard to punctuation and grammar, but unfortunately due to real life commitments my primary editor is no longer able to assist.

I am mainly looking for someone to help proof-read my story before submission, picking up simple errors that a spellcheck in word cannot, such as accidentally using 'he' instead of 'she', that kind of thing. If you are willing to offer more substantial advice to improve my writing as well, then that's a bonus as I'm keen to learn!

My story is a sci-fi novel, currently 32 chapters in length. I tend to write about 15k words per chapter and submit a chapter a week. I need to go back and update the earlier chapters with everything I've learned in the last four months, so if you are interested in seeing what my current writing standard is like, I would suggest reading the most recent chapters instead.

Anyway, please get in touch if you might be interested!

Thanks in advance,

Tefler

Low Maintenance

The editing requirements are not strenuous, so it is not that much of a change of real world situation.
I am just too new as an editor.

The story and the rate at which Tefler has improved technical skills as a writer, puts the story well beyond my abilities so that I know that a better and more experienced editor would be much more helpful at this point. Especially since the intention is to revise and fix issues in prior chapters that are revealed with improved skills, it is pretty discouraging to know that a better editor ASAP would help avoid more chapters that likely have flaws that I am not currently skilled enough to help prevent. Basically Tefler has gotten better to the point where it discourages me at my skill levels from trying to make changes. I am not clear in my mind on what the changes are that will help.

I am sure it is not the first time this has happened but I was basically a fan that offered to help. Getting a chance to read the material a few days sooner was all the incentive I needed.

I am still beta reading.

I have to admit that I had to puzzle out that the forum private message has separate settings than the Literotica site feedback to the author.

Thanks Lynn.
I have sent a notice to Tefler by email to prompt a check, after making the suggested changes to my Forum profile and testing a private message send to Tefler through the forums.

Hi T,

I really hope you find a new editor, I am eagerly awaiting the next part of your story!

No I'm not stalking, I just happened to see you here when I was looking for an editor!

If you would like some ideas regarding story development and stuff I'd be happy to help you, have a look at my submissions.

Stalker? Maybe.

I love the Three Square Meals story. I have actively searched for new chapters every day.
I can't seem to find the PM button (I'm on mobile right now), so I'll reply here and hope for the best. Please PM me and i will do my best to help.
What I do: Correct grammar, spelling, continuity.
What I can do if asked: Story line suggestions, sub-plot suggestions, character development.
As always, my comments/suggestions are worth exactly what you pay for them (i.e. Nothing) and my feelings won't be hurt if you don't use them.
Good Luck on your story and "hurry"... I want more.
Edit: PM button found under user name.
