I write stories in this category and possibly could be interested, but I suggest providing a bit more information about the kind of story you are looking for (family members involved, rough plot concept, length, tone, etc.) in this thread. Then you will be more likely to get helpful responses.

Our Vacation

Randolph, his mother Foolish and his aunt Stupid all waited patiently as the security guard at the entrance verified their reservation. Thinking this was a bit unusual, they were, unfortunately, all too dense to be suspicious that something might be wrong. Finally through security, they proceeded to the entrance only to see the large sign that read, 'Welcome Swingers to the Naked Nudist Resort'. It was Randolph who finally figured it out when he noticed all the naked people, and patiently explained it to the two senile older women. Shocked, they all left and went home to enjoy the rest of their vacation. The End

There it is. Nobody can use this or copy it until I get paid!

This will probably ruin my reputation as being enlightened and well educated...but, I'll risk it! What exactly is an "asshat". I've been living these past few years assuming it is someone who wears one of those gas station paper toilet seat covers on their head as a hat...is that the correct definition? I'm pretty well up on the abbreviations though; BTW, means 'by the way'... GFY, means 'good for you'

Don't take it personally. Most of us here lack sensitivity. We have to, we're busy writing stories that bare our souls to the readers, and, well, with the trolls and everything, sensitivity goes over the side early on. Writing for readers here is like walking into the lions den.... Amazon reviews pale by comparison.

There's nothing wrong with your request and I'm sure someone will PM you. Just make sure you have your private messaging turned on and you can give them a better idea of what you want. It really is tough writing stories to order - I can't do it myself, I've tried. For me it has to be something that grabs my imagination, holds it and pulls me by the hair down the street with no escape.

I do admire people that can write to order, so good luck

Well, now, I learned something new today. I thought “GFY” meant something aweful like “go fück yourself”. I’m so relieved to find out I was wrong and that it means “good for you” . Hate to think there would be someone grumpy here in the AH. Negative vibes affect people’s moods.

Asshat is the AH's interpretation of an asshole. Well, it was way back when. Just showing my age, I guess.

That's a huge relief...now I can start wearing those toilet seat covers again, the whole "Asshat" thing had such a threatening innuendo. I had thought perhaps I might be out of step with the norm...and so just quit wearing them. But they're quite stylish if you crease them just right

I see it's a very good word now though, more descriptive than the other one. I mean, all mammals have one of those...but it takes a certain kind of mind that's shaded with an AssHat.

As I've been the one fingered in the line-up;

rolltide, Since my jesting offended you, I apologize as it was not intended to be personal. Often, what one thinks is humorous doesn't come across that way in this format of written words absent of the body language of an in person conversation. Since the thread seemed to be going nowhere, I spun a reply intended for fun...not to make fun of you. Try to picture several folks sitting around sharing ideas and laughing at the possibilities.

Every time I come across someone who wants me to write "their story", I try to encourage them to try to write it themselves. It's the movie that's playing in your mind that needs to get out, and only you can do that. So that would be my first suggestion to you as well.

If there are reasons that just can't happen, I refer them to the Story Idea Forum. That get's a lot more input that might be helpful and sometimes a collaborator might show up as well. If you do want to try that, I would recommend that you provide much more information about that "movie" you have in mind. Things like a general plot arc, how did the three make plans but not know where they were going (the set-up has to be believable, unless it is to be a satire/humor piece), describe your vision for the three main characters (again, only you know the details you want). Then communicate with those who might be interested, etc.

The main thing I want in saying all of this is; Please don't let my attempt at levity make you feel unwelcome. That was never even in my mind. In fact, I encourage you to sit down and write that story...if not the final draft, at least the bones of it.

I'm sorry I probably shouldn't have taken it the wrong way because as a matter of fact I do write a lot of stories but this story isn't a fantasy of mine. I have a really good friend in Turkey is attempting to make a visual novel and he asked me to write a story for this idea and I have absolutely no time to do it so I was willing to pay someone so I can help him out.. Everything's cool, I found somebody to do it.
