I tell you, its an experience, this writing lark, isn't it? Its easy to see the story, much harder to write it. Especially when both protagonists are "her". Oy ve!

Yep, it is an experience indeed! Sometimes, the words pour out untill you get writer's cramp, sometimes you're reduced to hanging around the board remembering when....

Obviously, I'm not expecting statistics here. Any vague indications would be helpful. Whilst I don't intend to write in such a way as to exclude women, I had been assuming an audience split roughly 50:50. Fair?

Tough question. I would say my feedback is about 75% female/20% male and 5% undetermined. that's feedback though and has no real correlation to readership, since women seem more ready to drop you a line than men.

I write with the expectation my audience will be female. So i tend to write to that audience. Males aren't excluded from reading or enjoying, but I don't craft a work to appeal to them. A good prortion of my male feedback requests threesomes or a man watching or some other inclusion of a m ale participant.

My supposition here is totally unfounded, it is merely my feeling, but I think you will do better writing as if youraudience was female. It seems to me males are more easily able to enjoy works geared towards women, than women, particularly lesbians are able to enjoy works geared towards men. Exceptions obviously exist.

I think you're probably underestimating your female audience.

Not sure how accurate your percentages are Colly, but I can only speak for myself. I enjoy reading a good story whether it's lesbian, gay or heterosexual. Lesbian stories though give me, as a male, special insight into what turns on a woman, and that's important. At least it is to me.

Just cause I'm not usually so vocal, dosen't mean I don't believe every word of it stella. you're sensational in my book.

Not sure how accurate your percentages are Colly, but I can only speak for myself. I enjoy reading a good story whether it's lesbian, gay or heterosexual. Lesbian stories though give me, as a male, special insight into what turns on a woman, and that's important. At least it is to me.
