Looking for a story

I'm not sure if this is the right section but here goes

The story was possibly some kind of science fiction and horror, and I'm not sure but I think it had multiple story chapters

The only thing I remember is that the story protagonist was a girl who wanted to go to an island and took a boat to there (the captain threw her cellphone and aped her) later she found some statue in the island and from that on she pretty much changed in her behavior (I remember that her boyfriend was searching for her after they came back home and that was the end of the chapter, I remembered it because I thought another part would be written too by now)

I pretty much tried every type of search but the new search function is throwing me off


I never knew this forum existed, although I've been registered on the site for 5 years now....hmm

Well, you didn't give much information.

JohnEvans has his trilogy though and somewhere in it, a lovely lass pays the fee to Charon to take her up the river styx on his barge. It's scifi and horror and everything else I think.

Hmmm. Ok I looked and in chapter five of The Ritual, Karina agrees to pay Charon with her body. I believe she seeks passage to the island of Hades. This sounds like it could be what you're looking for. I haven't read all of this, so I don't know about the cellphone.

At any rate. His trilogy is good. I need to finish reading it one of these days. If you can't find what you're looking for, you might start reading this, and um...Bookmark it so you don't have to search again. <grin>

You can't have been registered for 5 years because you've got a 12/07 join date. Bet you've been lurking awhile. No harm in that.

The new search works well for stories that have been posted for a few months. The key is tags, and (a bit like google), if you search on a series of keywords you might get lucky. If you could remember a name or two that can help.

There's a story called VS Ch. 01 by gossog that sounds vaguely similar. The girl kisses a statue that she finds in a cave on an island. The other chapters don't seem to be related or tied very closely together, though. Kinda strange...
