Looking for a story

Hi, sorry to be a bother to all the important people on here, but I would like to know if anyone else has read a story on here, any subsection, about a guy finding some red stone, and making all women that see it obey him, except for the main woman in the story. Just wondering, as I can only remember parts of it, like she has an older husband, he lives with his mom only, and I think that there is a magician, and the '"magician's" name is Anton or something. Just let me know if anything triggers a memory somewhere, or where I can find it. Thank you so much in advance, even if you are just looking.
