Young artist is in love with best friends sister. Best friends sister is in love with him. He goes to college to be an artist. He gains notoriety by painting pictures of her. The sister becomes successful for writing stories about the painter. Neither knows the other is in love with them. Then she goes to his art exhibit by chance and they reconnect

Yeah that sounds right. I feel like the best friend threatened the MC to stay away from her growing up. I know the MC and BF have a fallout over the paintings while in college (also I think the college was unc-wilmington. That would be great thanks
