I remember reading a really well-written series of two stories a while ago - especially the second one, which had kind of a creative framing of the female lead recounting to her friend how much control her ex still had over her: something like she went to the movies with her nice new boyfriend, her ex was there with his new girl, he got her to sneak out of the movie and have sex with him in some corner of the theater building.
I don't remember the first story as much; iirc it was about her relationship with the ex-boyfriend and how that power dynamic between them existed in the first place. Maybe he cheated on her a lot, and she just had to accept it? Does anyone know the stories I'm talking about?
