MC, a guy, is married with two teenage kids. A son and a daughter.
Anyway, one day the MC's boss comes to him and tells MC that he is an excellent performer, but he has gone as far as he can with the company at this location. Boss also tells MC if he was willing to move to another location (Dallas?), he would receive a life changing promotion.
The MC is very excited about the news and when he gets home, over dinner, he tells his wife and kids. To his surprise the wife and kids gang up on him, say they don't want to move. They would miss their family and friends. MC is saddened they are not supportive and tells them he won't take the promotion.
Over time the MC starts to pull away and resent his wife. He feels like if she would have supported the move, the kids would have went along with it.
Wife starts to worry about the MC and their marriage, because of the way MC is acting (depressed). She notices MC cooking his own meals, doing his own laundry, etc. She talks to a friend about the situation and the friend tells her that MC is learning to live without her and the kids.
That is as much as I remember. Not sure how it ends. I think they end up in therapy.
