Hi, I'm Kornbred and as the title states, I'm looking for an Editor. There are a few things I want to bring up to begin with though. I have been writing for several years and while I consider myself to have a very robust writing pallet, I also believe that a good Editor is essential to a successful story. In particular I am looking for someone who is more interested in being a partner on preparing stories for release, not merely a proof reader. I would prefer some one who is willing to take a critical eye to the overall structure, content, and flow; making suggestions where needed. Also, while I am not excluding guys outright from consideration, I'd prefer a woman as my editor. The reason is simple. I'm trying to make stories that are engaging and erotic to both sexes. As I guy, I know if what I wrote works for guys, but I need a female opinion on how to make the stories work for women as well.

Well enough about what I expect/want, here's some stuff you can expect from me.
I will always value your time. I will do my best to weed out minor errors ahead of time so you can focus on the meat of the stories.

I will always value your input. Even if I do not always follow suggestions word for word, I will always listen and consider. If you find it important enough to bring up, it's important enough for me to take seriously.

I will always credit you. As mentioned earlier, I consider an Editor to be a partner in the production of good writing and I will always give proper credit to any Editor that I work with.

I will be available. I check my email at least every other day, so, if you have questions or comments, you won't have to wait eons for me to respond. Also I will also make sure to inform my Editor ahead of time if I'm going to be out of touch for a while.

As a final note, as indicated in the title I'm looking for a longer term Author/Editor relationship. Please don't let this intimidate you from responding, I'm not expecting a perfect match right off the bat. Get in touch with me, I'll send you some of my work, and we will see where it goes from there.

Thank you for you time,
Kornbred

P.S. I wrote such a long ad to hopefully give a snapshot of my writing.

I'm responding more on an "I wish" basis than an actual hope of being selected.

I'm a relatively new editor, with only a couple of stories under my belt, but I am an eager participant and a very avid reader.

I shy away from no subject whatsoever, I don't reveal my subject preferences so as not to bias the authors and have read enough of every category to feel confortable with all the types of material provided in this site.

I will be as involved as you let me be, from basic spell-checking to near co-authoring, your choice.

Basicly I just want to help new blood make a good lasting mark on a website that has provided me with some of the best (and admittedly some of the worst) that I have read in erotica.

In addition to my usual sale pitch, I've recently discovered that one-shots are not for me.
I preffer stories with a broader spectrum, with some meat to them, instead of just gravy.

I like to work two stories at all times, helps me keep the focus by detaching myself from the subject, which I believe gives me a fresh look everytime I pick something up.
Under these conditions, my average is 5k words per day for each author, with daily updates on how far I'm going and/or why I'm not going faster/slower/whatever.

Also, unfortunately it seems, I'm male.

So if you don't find the match you're looking for, or if you change your mind about it, I'll be available.

Though, I'm new at on-line editing- I have a bit of experience, as in the past I have edited stories; etc... for people. In addition I've done a writing course, I'm a big reader of adult fiction and have written a few short stories of my own. I'd be happy to help out :)

I'm female, so I could give you imput from the female perspective for your story, but I'm pretty good at descriptions from either perspective.

My strengths are:
*spelling
*rewording (flow)
*descriptions
*choosing BETTER alternate synonyms!
*grammar
*punctuation
*plot
*structure
*characterization

Let me know if you're interested, if so feel free to send me a sample of your work!
Btw, I'd be happy to provide updates on any changes I'd make and be there to help out during the writing process in any way I could.
