Looking for a German Translator

I'm writing a story that takes place in southern England in 1944 and the next to last chapter requires a few lines in German. I would like to find someone who speaks (write, actually) German like a native to translate a few sentences into German. The translations do not have to be exact. I would prefer the idea to sound like a native German would say it and not sound like a translation from English. I've tried contacting German editors in the editors section, but have yet to receive a reply. Any suggestions?

You might get more response if you ask this in the Authors' Hangout than here.

Depending on what you need translated, it might be helpful to provide some background about where the German speaker is from. Different German-speaking regions have different dialects (both within Germany and across other German-speaking nations) and the differences can be quite substantial; they might be even greater back in 1944.

There's a kind of "standard German" which many Germans would be able to speak for the sake of mutual understanding, but whether the character would speak in that or a regional dialect likely depends on their educational background and circumstances.

Beyond that, I'll leave it to the native speakers to field it better than I can.
