look out of the window & what do you see

I look out the big bay window from where I sit, and the bright moonlight is reflecting off the still waters of the pool.

I see my Golden Retriever curled up for the night under the palms and tree ferns.

I see the gardenias and camellias I planted, and the azaleas. The gardenias have finished for the year, but the camellias and azaleas will be blooming soon. I see my pansy seedlings, they're just starting to flower as the weather grows cooler.

I see that the passionfruit vine is creeping over the pergola, as is the bouganvillea and the purple wisteria, which is creeping along the back fence. All will have to be pruned, before they take over the whole neighbourhood.

My herringbone ferns are spilling over the limestone walls of the raised garden beds, they fight for space with the impatiens and the native violets.

Sounds beautifull foxinsox- way over my head in terms of the garden type stuff - I cant even keep the odd house plant alive , is that in the US ?

I see the aviary, which houses my bright yellow Indian Ringneck parrots and a couple of quail.

I love my garden.

I see a huge ass poster for a Drag Queen performing tonight, and the ocean. The fishing boats are all out, but there are some small craft at the docks.
I smell fresh cut grass and salt.
Wow, thanks Gord. I love working here.

hmmm well it is a quarter to one in the morning here so looking out my window, I see nothing but darkness.

Close to the window however is the faint outline of the leaves on the potted Benjamin Ficus just outside.

I can hear a helicopter going over though so not all is totally quiet

Almost noon here, it's partly cloudy and very rainy. I'm on the second floor of my apartment building, outside there is a big old pine tree.

If you look past the pine tree you'll see a parking lot half filled, then a strip of green grass with lots of trees. If you look any further you'll see another parking lot, and then the new Apartments across the way.

All the apartments look like they were taken straight out of some little dutch village.

10:45 a.m.

Aside from the typical two dorm buildings and the trees.... it's a cloudy sky and it's been raining. I see cleansing, I see hope and a touch of chaos.

Maybe that's just what I feel. Sometimes, there's little difference.

sun! sun! there's actually sun out there! it's amazing!!

The neighbor's dog broke something again...

it just turned six am and it's still dark...my house is tucked back in the woods and surrounded by live oaks and cedar trees...to my left i can see the lights of my sister's house, my closest neighbor..on the right is my brother's land but no houses there...the fellow behind me has chickens and the roosters are talkin' it up at the moment...about 20 yards from my front porch is a clearing with a little corn feeder that the deer will be coming to shortly...they haven't dropped their fawns yet this year but it should be any day...have coffee on the front porch with me and you'll see why i'm seldom, if ever, in a bad mood..

Uncle J, seeing as how we are both in Texas, we're practically neighbors. How about we schedule us a lttle visit sometime soon... Your place sounds idyllic. :rose:

18:38 and i see my parents back garden with my little 10yr old bro playing football

in the distance you can see a church with birds flying around its tower

the shriek of kids playing in the summer sun

10:48 am in SoCal........blue skies, a little cool (high 60s).........the bouganvilla I planted on the front arbor is doing well.....the purple daisies are riotous, and the camillias are gorgeous.

The hills to my right look dry....we are in for one heck of a fire season if we don't get more rain. To my left.....I can't see it, but just a few blocks over is the ocean. I'll bet it's a beautiful blue/green, today. I'm going down there very soon to run my dog......I'll let you know.
