dragonhearted, I find those last two statements not to be true. One will only fade if one allows it to happen.

Fair Dragonhearted thou doth sound a bit bitter and mayhaps a little depressed.

Youth in terms of years turns into wisdom. Getting older does not have to change the state of mind. Youth is lost by adults when they begin to stagnate and are unwilling to try and accept the new and the changes around them.

Fair Dragonhearted one must live in the past, present and the future. A rose will bloom and eventually fade but the memory of the beauty of that rose remains as does the purpose for which it was given. 'Tis a mistake to equate youth with years as I have stated above.

The last, concerning that the fairest maid will also fade concerns me greatly. This is placing beauty as being only skin deep. People who look only for this type of beauty will miss too many wonderful opportunities. Beauty and Fairness is found much deeper. It is a state of mind. It is liking yourself for who and what you are. True beauty never fades because it is not on the surface. True beauty is found in the person's heart, mind, soul and personality. Those who look for beauty only on the outside are people not worth the time as they are shallow and lack the depth of heart, soul and mind.

This Fair Dragonhearted is the quest that I gave to thee. Search within yourself, and search those that you are thinking or wanting a relationship with. Those who measure only on the surface are not worth the time. I doth not normally give advice, for 'tis not my style, but this I will share with you for what it is worth. Do not seek boys playing at being men, True men look beyond the surface for what is beneath. Unfortunately there are way too many boys playing at being men.

I doth wish thee Fair Dragonhearted to cheer up. The rose, youth and beauty do not fade unless you allow them to. Please do not just look and judge just the surface.

My entry about youth, rose, and the maid...was taken from Franco Zefferelli's "Romeo & Juliet". It was the song sang by the young man at the party given by the Capulets, for Juliet's "coming out". I found the song to be poignant; it made me cry. I posted it in response to a post you made in response to LKP's toward end of first page. I am sorry if you felt it inappropriate.
