London explosion

My cousin is all right. She was near enough to hear it, but not harmed. Has anyone heard from pops?

Family all ok, still waiting to hear from a Polish friend who was in London today. We travelled as a family on the Circle line last Friday, passing through two of the bomb stations and I travelled Monday morning on the Picadilly line to Heathrow.

Surviving such a close call - by a matter of only a week - must leave you feeling terribly shaken up - and fragile. Stick around and remind us that you're well, okay?

Bumping this until Pops is accounted for.

Check in, you parrot-wearing pornographer. Now, dammit.

Those who committed these acts used their brains and intelligence to plan a coordinated attack. They may lack a normal sense of right and wrong. They do have intelligence and use it to kill and maim people.

It may seem senseless to us. To them it makes perfect sense. That is the tragedy of fanatics.

There you are!

Relieved to see you here, Og. I must have missed an earlier post. I see that your hat is unscathed, and that's important right now too.

Death is almost always senseless to us the living. Maybe when we’re on the other side of the curtain we will understand it better.

Deepest sympathies for those who have lost loved ones today. Kudos to and admiration for the brave Londoners who will go on with their lives and not let the atrocious actions of an evil few make them cower in fear.

One question I've always asked about these terrorists: Don't these fuckers ever read history books? Come on, they can't think they are going to shake the will of the British people with a few bombs.

Senseless tragedy. I'm a newcomer here, but I've watched from the shadows. I'm glad everyone seems to be accounted for.

My words are not worthy of being spoken here on this thread. Instead a candle has been lit.

I only now had a chance to come online. I am just relieved that all the brit Litzens are okay. I will keep my thoughts with you and offer you strength. :rose:

Anyone hear from pops yet?
His last post was in March of this year, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's not around much any more. I'll try to find his email addy, but it's been quite a while since last we spoke. I've PM'd him and asked him to check in.

Thanks :rose:

It would be great if you could contact pops.

Has the earl checked in?

Haven't seen him around the boards for some time. He's a long way from London, though. I wouldn't worry.

Here's a radical thought. Ok. The Islamic fundamentalists don't like capitalism and its 'evils'. Anti-globalists are self defining. Lots of the Yanqui public don't like starting wars to fuel international oil prices. And the whole world is fed up of Hollywood blockbusters. (If they were of any particular merit they wouldn't be on dvd after 3 months)

So here's my loony leftwing, communist, wishy washy liberal, surrender monkey idea:

Stop the free west from economically invading the peace loving peoples of non-democratic countries.

If you don't like their idea of government don't trade with them.
If you really want to help the people of other nations by giving them MacDonalds outlets, keep all the profits from that country in that country.
Don't allow international arms dealers to be private enterprises.
Stop going on television and emphatically stating that our god is better than theirs.

In the words of drunk's friends on Saturday nights "Leave it, they're not worth it."

Amen

Welcome. We're not at our best tonight...Or maybe we're always like this, and I forgot. Welcome anyway.

Isn't there anybody here who is in touch with Pops outside of Literotica?

Despina said that she would try to find his email address but it has been sometime she wrote him. She will tell him to check in if she manages to reach him.

Do you know where Pops is located? I wasn't sure.

I didn't sleep well last night, this whole thing is terribly disturbing and my heart goes out to anyone involved. All the Brits are right, we'll go on as usual and show these evil people that we ain't impressed by their ridiculous bullying tactics.

I am so touched bythe care and love expressed from my friends around the globe, if we can concentrate on that worldwide, uniting love, this place would be a far, far happier one :rose:

I finally have word from my Mom's family and my friends. They are all safe. Shaken up yes, but as you mentioned they will be getting on with business as usual. I might be able to get some sleep now.

I admire the strength and the calm of those who survived, of those who lost loved ones and those working to pick up the the rubble in the aftermath.
