I'd rather be mocked to my face than after the fact, but that's just me. I've had wonderful experiences with friendliness in the south (I'm generalizing I know) but I'm not exactly sure how genuine the friendliness has been, which is what you're saying Argent, I believe...

I've actually had some great experiences up north as well, so it's definitely very generalized. I just mean that in the South, criticisms tend to come in the form of behind the back gossiping. People here will gladly hide their real feelings about you and be perfectly nice and polite to your face.

Yes, there's friendly then there's friendly.... That comment made me lol Argent.... It's the same everywhere because that sounded really familiar, just different local lingo.... (Incidentally Australia has the north-south divide too.... It's called the equator! :D)

I'm watching a girly movie... It's actually the BBC's production of Pride and Prejudice. Colin Firth is sooo Mr Darcy, I want to eat him up.... :)

All things equal I'm very happy to see a smiling face instead of a scowl. Northern winters though...that'll make anyone wince.
