Hi all, I hope some GURU here can help me with this problem I have had for ages now.

After logging in to Lit' I usually go to the picture forum to look at the lovelies there. So often though, I click on a link to an image and I am asked to log on again. This happens for every image on a particular thread. The site webmaster has told me to log off and on again so that all cookies are cleared, but unfortunately this is not the answer (nor the problem)!

I thought that it may have been because I followed a link from one thread to another, and this caused the problem but today this is not so. I also felt that this happened if I followed a link from my msn email account, which opens lit' in an 'msn' window.

I have not changed any of the Windows XP Pro settings, using a default installation; I use Avant Browser, AVG free edition virus protection and Zone Alarm firewall, (yes - all free programs). My next guess is that the pop-up stopper may be interfering, but if I turn it off I get loads of crap on the screen.

I'd be grateful for any help with this.
Many thanks in advance.

In your user CP/Edit Options page, make sure that "browse board with cookies" is set to yes.

If it's set to no, then you will get logged out every fifteen minutes or so.

Auto-login

Thanks for the tip Harold.

I have actually checked the settings and by default, I think, this is set to yes. I've found a fudge though, setting auto login to yes. This seems to have stopped the problem, but it is not a good fix for me; I prefer to log in and logout of Lit'.

The thing is, I did not have this problem until maybe 3 months ago. I found that I had to log in to add a post to a thread, then log in to submit the post, then, log in to view an image or open any other page. When I wish to visit say, rania's threads or any other who has posted millions of great images, it becomes so frustrating (ahem!) The problem is not on my computer as I have tried many different ones.

Anyway, thanks for your tip.
